Putting the "fun" in fundamental, a little toy store that's big on personality..
The Scene
Good things come in small packages and this relatively intimate toy store can be a refreshing alternative to the cavernous warehouses where merchandise is fork-lifted to the ceiling. This River Oaks Shopping Center operation aims for a personal touch. Owner Debbie Scholl stocks items that aren't necessarily the hottest thing around, but do have a good chance of still entertaining a child a month (or a year) after acquiring it.
The Goods
Given its upscale location, the place may sound like a boutique filled with pricey European thingamajigs, but the inventory is quite varied (and changes frequently) with a goodly number of items as cheap as anything you'll find at a superstore.
