THIEVES!!!! Being that this was in River Oaks area, I went to consign some high end items (Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc.). While I thought their 60% cut was high, the sales lady assured me these items would have no problem moving, so I left my items in their care assuming I would at least make some decent shopping money. Once the 3 months consignment passed, I still had not received any payment and numerous calls and visits to the store to determine what had sold and requested call backs were NEVER answered. I picked up the supposed unsold items (8 of 18 were returned). My Gucci jumpsuit valued over $6K was NOT returned and all I got was a measley $212 which I'm supposed to believe covered 10 items sold. Ironically one of the pieces that was less pricey than the Chanel, they labeled for $399, so I know they either conveniently "lost" some of my items or failed to pay my fair 40% share. I would never consign anything with them again and would suggest others stay away as well. It appears obvious to me they are in it for their own profit by whatever means necessary.
CUSTOMERS BEWARE TWICE!!! – Daisy 18's review is right on! I had a similar experience with less items which never sold and one that magically "disappeared". Now I know that I was lucky to have dropped in on the date that the 3 consignment months expired, and was able to pick up 2 out of the 3 items, one of them a $550 new jacket. I never heard an apology about the lost 3rd item, a beautiful Betsy Johnson dress that I wore no more than 3 times. I was given the run around, and got no money for it. Additionally, the whole tone of the attending ladies was that of nonchalance and even annoyance that I would just not let this go. I called later, spoke with a person called Amy and asked for the owner's name, which she denied to disclose. I would like the owner to know how her employees are running this business, in case she is not aware of it. I will never do business again with this establishment, and I will let everybody know of their shabby business practices.
CUSTOMERS BE AWARE TWICE!!!!
Beware! – Several months ago I decided to take some of my designer clothes to Twice New. Some of these clothes still had price tags on them and ALL were upscale designers, still current, and I still could have continued to wear, but I just had no room in my closet. Therefore, I decided to part with 68 items. When I dropped them off, I overheard the girls say that i had some "good stuff!". These were things such as a beautiful suede wrap skirt, silk leopard blouse, velvet jacket purchased that same season, silk $900 blouse which still had tags,.. I was told that I could not pick up my things which did not sell. For all 68 items, I received less than $280! I was so insulted that I called to complain wondering how all 68 very expensive items could have brought in so little! I was more or less given the run around. I was told that anything that wasn't sold was already donated. Still annoyed a month later, I called to complain again. I was then told that I could have picked up any unsold items after all, but they were gone! I think the person I spoke with sensed that I was not letting this go, because a week later she phoned me to pick up my unsold items! One of these things was the $900 silk blouse, but it was returned with the tags re-attached and a cleaning tag on it! CUSTOMERS BEWARE!
