What Our Expert Scouts Say

Romano Flying Pizza

This strip mall pizza joint is a great. This unpretentious strip mall pizza joint is a great family place for New York-style pizza. When it gets busy, the pizza making becomes a show, with a guy in the back pounding the dough, then throwing it up in the air. Romano may be there at the counter with a smile. Meatballs are great.

New York Style fo sho. They make the pizza in front of you, so you know it's fresh. I love it here b/c they are the only ones who put enough sauce in the pizza to satisfy my taste! yum yum yum...

Time for change. The pizza sauces need to be updated for sure, they taste like they came out of the can to the pizza, they need more flavor, garlic, oregano etc

Great Food. Lunch menu is cheap. the pizza is great. service is usually very quick. I eat there all the time. In comparison to other Italian restaurants the food is on the top of my list.

Good Food, Rude People. Have always enjoyed the food here until the other night when we were refused service. The hours on the door read that the restaurant is open until 10:00 pm. We walked in the door at 9:30 and were told we could only order to go. There were quite a few tables with people still eating and they refused to let us sit to enjoy our meal. Needless to say we did not order. We were very disappointed with the way we were treated and are finding very hard to return.

Best. Cheese. Pizza. Anywhere. Period.. The title says it all. I've never even tried any of their other pizza because I'm so addicted to the New York style cheese pizza. Everytime we go, we each order a house salad and a piece of thin-crust cheese pizza. (Hot enough that you have to bite into it c-a-r-e-f-u-l-l-y; plenty of yummy cheese and not too much sauce; tasty crust that isn't overly crispy!) Then we split a piece of Romano's amazing cheesecake.

As far as I'm concerned, that's a meal made in heaven!

You must be kidding.... $24.26 for a medium (14") thin crust vegetable pizza. That?s like 5oz of bread & a few vegetables. There was practically no sauce or cheese. It was it was a terrible pizza, worst I've ever had. Twenty-five bucks?? Comon, it cost less than a dollar or two to make that pizza, the box was probably more expensive than the pizza. I'm not making any money off this business, why should I arbitrarily kick in on the rent?? I will never, ever, EVER, go back to that place.
