Closed. The "Jolly Science" has been closed for a while now. They do have another location on Yale in the Heights if you're craving a late night grease fix.

BIG BURRITO. This is by far the best late night mexican place in town. My friends and I are addicted to the steak fajita burrito. IT IS THE BEST ANYWHERE!!For a late night joint the service is pretty good too, ask for Alicia she is the best!!

Club-hoppers fuel up and musicians wind down at this hangover haven on Montrose.. In Short
Some restaurants have reputations built on the strength of a single dish, and such is the case at this late-night favorite. Burritos the size of bedrolls, filled with your choice of ingredients (go for the steak), are the specialty. Also try the tortas (French-bread sandwiches), which may be ordered with the same fillings as the burritos. Spice it up with a spoonful of the pickled vegetable table relish. A jukebox keeps things lively.

So bad it's good. No doubt, this is a hole in the wall, but sometimes that is what you want. I find the food average, except for the breakfast dishes (served all day) which my be the best in town. Great place to watch people and get the flavor of old Montrose. Don't take this as a negative review -I eat here at least once a week. The staff is great.

Don't be fooled by the outside!. This "hole in the wall" is actually a well appointed and rather large restuarant on the inside. Fabulos decor and music selection on the juke box! Food is average, but after the bar...who cares!

Best for Late Night.... When you won't be paying attention to the prices! I personally love the atmosphere here (and come often) but I have to agree with the last reviewer about the prices!!! The food has never been more than passable -- fine for post-bar munching -- and the quality hasn't risen along with the prices. One plus - the salsa and marinated vegetables are fab.

Overpriced for a taqueria. Prices have gone up in here- way up. You can no longer get a burrito or torta for under 4 bucks. And the enchilada plates are $8.00+!! What's up with that??? Taqueria's are supposed to be cheap. I will never go back there, I go to Ruchi's or Taqueria la Tapatia now.

Jolly Science--Great Carrots. It's 2:30 a.m., you've just left Emo's, and you need food. La Jaliciense has served plenty of hungry drinkers well for some time. The spicy carrot/jalapeno/onion mixture is awesome, even if they recycle it. I always eat the steak burrito, but once had an awful chimichanga on Christmas Day, 1993. Alone. As depressing as that is, the cheery nature of late night Jolly Science is always a welcome. Used to trade off between there and One's A Meal on West Gray before it moved, for late night sustenance. Now, I'm old, and late-night eating has mostly gone *poof*.
