Tips for Neartown Animal Clinic

I like this animal clinic a lot. The doctors switch up a lot lately. Dr. Murray is top notch. I wish I could only see her but she only does surgery and sees surgery patients. She doesn't BS with me and sugar coat things like a lot of doctors have in the past. When she put my little shihtzu to sleep, she was very compassionate and kind. Oh yeah, go there on Wednesdays and Thursdays, they have a bath special those days.

Never again. We went to this clinic because it was the only place we could get in the same day. That should have been a red flag. Doctor didn't even perform a regular office visit, and didn't introduce himself. Manhandled my dog and took her out of my sight to do a skin scraping. Will be making the 1 hour drive to our regular vet from now on.

Clean facility, knowledgeable doctors. Very close to my new home. I love the clean facility. The two doctors I met seem very educated. Front staff is nice and always greets me when I walk through the door. Never had any issues with my pet's care here. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great care for their pet(s).

Caring staff, amazing facility. I moved to Montrose a year ago, and started taking my dogs to Neartown. I am very impressed by them. I shopped around, and the prices are comparable to any others nearby. I usually see Dr. Hunt. She is the sweetest doctor, and always makes my dogs feel comfortable. She is especially knowledgable about Sighthounds (I have a Greyhound - so this is great!) and French Bulldogs.

Dr. Kleck is the new vet. I saw him one time. He is very thorough and explains things in terms I can understand. I have referred a few friends here, and would recommend Neartown to anyone who wants excellent care for their furry children.

Wonderful vet care and great staff!. My pets are very important to me and so is the quality of their care. It seems the negative comments below are from a personal conflict or someone that would have issues wherever they went. It also seems like all the negative reviews are written by the same person. I really value the care provided by Neartown Clinic so I want to share my positive experiences.

My pets have been treated at Neartown for 10 years now. One of my dogs has very complicated medical issues from a car wreck that caused nerve damage and bladder issues. Another dog of mine had severe allergies. These issues were not properly addressed until I sought treatment at Neartown. Dr. Murray was the only vet I could find that was willing to sit down with me and discuss their cases before charging me for anything. Years later, she also stayed late one night to re-suture my pet’s incision from a surgery – he pulled out the stitches while I was at work. She even remained later so that I could come back to the clinic to take him home that night.

Because I have older pets and also take in strays, it seems like I am always there. Every time, I have always encountered a friendly, professional atmosphere. I have had minor disagreements at times with a service charge or such but have always been able to resolve it amicably with the Office Manager. I have never been spoken to rudely nor heard any rude comments made about other people. The staff seem to really enjoy their jobs and set a wonderfully tone in the clinic.

I have always been allowed to walk back to see one of my kenneled pets, they never have anything to hide. The place is clean and orderly. I always receive follow up calls and Dr. Bailey has even called me several times in one day when I had several questions. Treatment options are always thoroughly discussed and places to get unbiased info is provided.

I appreciate all that Neartown has done for my pets and me. I would encourage anyone that wants quality care and professional interactions to try Neartown Clinic.

Great place!. My beautiful 12 year old persian, Biscuit, was on his death bed. I called my regular vet, whom I had been with for almost 8 years, and they told me that they closed in an hour and that I had to take my cat to the emergency clinic. Oh, and walk out with a $1000.00 bill? No way! I called Neartown and they got Biscuit in right away! Dr. Murray saved my cat. I can't think of anything wrong with the facility itself. It's very clean and organized. The technicians were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The front desk girls were also very wonderful and polite. I will never take my pets to any other clinic! This place gets FIVE STARS!

Geesh People- this vet is the same as all in this area. I have been bringing my Labs here for 2 1/2 years and they have received nothing but the best care. We have boarded frequently and the dogs are excited to walk in the door. The kennel guy is great with the dogs. I checked other prices in the area and they are all the same. I recommend this vet to everyone.

Incredible rip-off. I have not taken my animals back to this place for 2 years, because they overcharge like crazy. Unfortunately I didn't remember by how much. Simple exams and vaccinations for two poms cost $350. What the hell? The crazy thing is, they always give the dogs a two stage fecal exam for heartworm and charge a little over $50 for each dog even though the dogs are taking their heartgard. Just outrageous. Stay away from this vet. They are trying to make up their lease in an expensive area of town by ripping off their customers. The vets dress like they are going shopping at the galleria instead of taking care of animals, just a damn shame.

HORRIBLE!!!!. I find it amusing that the only positive review here is from an employee...the same employee who is accused of having anger issues by an earlier post.

This place is awful...they overchange and do not find the problem. They sell you items not to make your animal better but to make money. The front desk staff is rude and typically unknowledgable in regards with any questions. They talk to each other, play on their phones and the internet...this all comes before helping the customer. And don't think about complaining...! The office manager protects the front desk and will always take their side! She has asked customer's to leave for complaining about hte issues with front desk personnel as the front desk will accuse the customer as being rude. There is NO such thing as custumer service here...I am boycotting this establishment!
