I love this salon! Very professional! MIKE IS AMAZING..we have him do our hair every time. Mike placed the California Smooth Keratin on my hair and months later it’s still looks FAB!!! I highly recommend this Salon and its staff.

Every time I go to this Fantastic Sam's they do a great job. Especially Michelle! My teen daughter's hair is textured and she makes it look fabulous! She also gave me a layered look and I love it!

HORRIBLE. Yesterday, I went to get a trim and style at 1911 W Gray, Houston, Texas 77019.

When I walked in all the stylist were surrounded the door. One lady (Amanda) grabbed my arm and pulled me to the shampoo bowl. While the other three stylist and Amanda who at this time is shampooing my hair, were screaming at each other that it wasn't fair that Amanda was doing my hair. She keep saying that I was a request, when I said that I wasn't a request, that its my first time to any of the salons, she slapped my head.

So the whole time Amanda my stylist was screaming at the other stylists. My hair is/was long down my back, well I wanted a trim, what I got was a CHOP job. My hair length now is at my shoulders, when I asked for a trim(1/2 inch off) she ended up taking 5 INCHES OFF. THEN when it was time for a blowdry she told me that I would have to pay a extra 15$ for a roundbrush blowdry. I told her no, So I paid $35.00 just for a cut and leaving with my hair half way dryed.

I feel like I got horrible customer service, when the stylist wasn't even paying attention to me or what I wanted. So basically I paid $35.00 to Fantastic Sam's to get ignored, getting attitude from all the stylists, and getting my hair all jacked up. I will NOT refer any of my clients, friends or family OR ANYONE to any of the Fantastic Sams salons.

I feel like I got ripped off, I would love to have my money back..

Best Haircut for the price. Went to Fantastic Sams at 1911 West Gray Street. WOW what a place. Memo, Luiji and Brianna were all very friendly and listened to my needs and concerns about my hair. When I left I had a great new look and at a fraction of the cost of the other salons in the area. I would suggest that everyone go. Customer for life.

DON'T go here. If you get your hair cut here, it will go something like this:

You: "I want a trim, please."

'Hairdresser': "Half an inch?"

You: "Yeah! That sounds great."

Then you leave a half hour later thirty bucks poorer, with three inches off your hair and a boxy style that Dr. Frankenstein's monster would be proud to wear. Oh so proud to wear.

Seriously, I tried this place twice. I will try anything twice. The first time was all right, but I felt the same way: my hair is much, much shorter than I wanted it to be. This time was even worse. It's uneven, and the layers have no finesse and don't lie down on my head. I feel like I'm thirteen again and my dad took me to the mall to get a haircut that neither he nor the person cutting cared about.

If you can pay thirty bucks, you can chock up thirty more and go to David's etc. on 11th St. in the Heights. It is a pricey haircut, but they listen, and they have skills. I will always go there from here on out. Thirty dollars is worth my hair not looking like I cut up a cereal box and put it on my head.

Memo is THE BOMB!!!. This place is one of Houston's great cheap secrets! For a price just above "supercuts" or other junky salons, you get a PROFESSIONAL, CHIC, STATE-OF-THE-ART cut and style!! Ask for Memo, the best stylist in the place - he will make you look like a star!
