“Even though the store employees were pretty nice, I couldn't get over how disorganized this place was!”
“The staff was extremely helpful and took.”
“The Homeschool Store is a fabulous place to purchase curriculum at about half of the retail price.”
Old location was a disorganized, dirty mess. Very poor stewards of their inventory. New location is more spacious, but I doubt it will stay clean or organized because it is the people running it who have poor standards. They seem to be very proud of themselves, almost arrogant, and in the years we have shopped there the owners have never been friendly (although the kids are generally nice). Many of my home school friends avoid this place like the plague because of the mess and the prices aren't any cheaper than ebay or home school sites. After years of loyalty they still treat us pretty rudely so I think I might be joining them.
REALLY messy & stinky.

I visited with my family and felt like I needed to be carrying a gun where it's located....not a safe area at all! And it smelled like mildew....could hardly breathe...VERY crowded and I couldn't find anything... The used book section is a mess, with books piled everywhere....I don't know how they even know what they have!
Able to find what I needed but really crowded. I visited today and was overwhelmed by the shelves and shelves of stuff they have <--in a good way. Staff was really nice, but the place could use a real facelift, and the aisles are super tight...uncomfortably tight...and it did not help that the place was soooo hot! I would have stayed longer if I was not sweating. I found everything that I needed, prices were great, and believe it or not, things are really as organized as they can be with such a tight space. Seems like they have outgrown the place. I would love to see them in a larger space, I think they would be amazing, but the actual store? Not a fan. I will end by saying that I will return and am looking forward to it, I just hope they crank the AC up.
A great support for the home school community!. This store is great! The prices are lower than online and there are lots of choices--new and used. The staff is helpful and knows their stuff--they are homeschoolers too! Being able to sell back my used items and get what I need is a huge help to my budget. I was even able to order something I needed to be shipped to me when it came in. Very wonderful place and very needed!
Decent Prices, Store Disorganized. Even though the store employees were pretty nice, I couldn't get over how disorganized this place was! Besides books practically falling from the shelves, they had stacks and stacks of books on the floor. I found the prices to be fair - just wish they would tidy up a bit : )
Loads of material. After spending much time in mountains of material, and deciding to spend a grand sum- it was unfortunate that the owner to step in front of me with another customer blocking my view and seemingly didn't care. I'm hoping it wasn't because I was African-American or maybe because my friend (who had been their previously without me) went in the dumpster to get materials that had been discarded from damage during hurricane ike and the owner seemed to be furious of her dumpster diving-thoutght I was her! Nevertheless, I put materials back and refuse to support this kind of establishement!
