I was first attracted to this church when I was walking my dog on a Sunday morning and saw these people milling around outside drinking coffee, talking, and laughing with little kids running everywhere. These things are not unusual to see outside a church, but what made me pay attention was the variety of people I saw doing them...people with dreds, young, old, African Americans,Caucasions, Asians, Latinos - and as I got closer, I could hear such a variety of accents...there was all kinds of people from obviously different cultures. And I heard this incredible music coming out the doors. I was interested - or maybe "intrigued" is a better word. I went home, threw on some more decent clothes and went back (not that I needed to because it is very casual). That was 9 years ago, and I have never left. I love this church for its diversity, mission, authenticity, values...but most of all, I love this church because of its people.

I moved to Houston 6 years ago knowing no-one here. Now I have a community of literally hundreds of friends, who encourage me to love and serve Jesus week by week. The mid-week Life Groups are a great way to get to know people better. The Sunday services are down to earth and relevant. I like it lots!
