The food could not be worse. Even if they clean the scum off the air vents over the tables and invest in some quality servers, Andy’s cannot redeem the gross food items they put in front of me on my first/last visit.

The place was dead when we got there. We waited more than five minutes to be acknowledged, another five to get waters, another five to get chips and give orders, and then about fifteen to get our food.

I ordered a small plate of nachos. What came out was exactly six tortilla chips, each with a smear of tasteless refried bean paste and a pale triangle of tasteless cheese product. There was also a small cup of jalapenos, which is the only way I managed to get down the only “nacho” I ate. I cannot stress how little flavor or visual appeal these things had.

I don’t remember what my partner had, but he declared it “not terrible, but not good.” He ate half of his. When we went to pay at the counter, the woman exuded the same bored indifference that our waitress had.

Yummy!. Love. love, lovin the Andy's and have been for over a decade! Always order one of the combos- and it never disappoints. If you are in the mood for a delicious plate of good 'ol tex mex style cheese enchiladas with gravy this is your place. Service can be a little hit and miss but I still love it. A true Houston gem

Worst Mexican Food I've Ever Had. Went to eat their with some friends who recommended it... I can't imagine why. Habit, I suppose?

I ordered a gordita which turned out to be very bland. I had the opportunity to try some other dishes, and they were all extremely poor examples of "tex-mex," or even just "tex." The tacos tasted like they were made from an Ortega taco kit, and the burrito was filled with Dinty Moore's Beef Stew. (I kid you not, I grew up on the stuff and could recognize the taste anywhere.)

The experience was not entirely bad; the staff was very attentive and the register operator (the owner, or a relative I assume) was congenial. However, this establishment fails in its primary mission of serving food you'd want to pay money for.

It is absolutely baffling to me why my friends STILL recommend this place, given the large number of excellent Mexican restaurants in Houston at all price ranges. Honestly, you could buy better food from a greasy taco truck and save money while you're at it. Thumbs down all around.

Best BLT ($2.79) and pancakes!!!. I absolutely love the warm, almost creamy salsa! Even though I go in to order pancakes, I usually alternate bites of salsa/chip and pancake. The BLT is wonderfully crispy and excellent if you ask for avocado to be added in. The pancakes are delightfully fluffy and fulfilling for late-night cravings.

24 Hour Houston @ Its Finest. Hey, a little grease on the menu is human, and frankly craved at 4:30AM in this sleepy city.

The breakfast is delicious, especially items with potatoes, and definitely worth the extra buck or whatever it is at non-breakfast time. It's a Houston milestone and one of the few Mexican Restaurants that is not a(n evil, okay not evil) chain. Andy's is scrumptious greasy Mmmexican.

credit cards. Although it was a very small amount charged my stolen credit card that has my picture on it was used in your resturant. Maybe the employees can check a little more closely when people are paying with credit cards of any kind.

Best Menudo in town!. So, this is your typical mom and pop place. It's food is a little greasy, but it's worth it. I love the Carne Guisada plate (add cheese over everything) with HOMEMADE flour tortillas. Their FAJITA's are great. I just have to say that no matter what you try you'll love it. Oh and by the way BEWARE the green sauce it'll burn a whole in your throat.

Local charm I suppose but very very disappointing. Finally went there a few months ago after moving to the area and reading several short articles about the resturant but was supremely disappointed. The place definitely has a homey feel to it, by no means spectacular but comforting. Very nice waitress and hostess. I ordered fajitas and my fiance ordered cheese enchiladas. The cheese enchiladas had a peculiar aftertaste and my fajitas were disappointing. The fajitas came as a fairly dry piece of meat with some peppers and onions on the side with what looked like a slice of quasi-melted cheese on top. The meat was dry and had hardly any flavor. Making good/great enchiladas and fajitas would seem to be a prerequisite for a mexican resturant. The ideal image of Andy's is great. Has been in the neighborhood a long time, family run, open 24 hours but the food is very disappointing.

GREAT FOOD FOR A GOOD PRICE. ANDY'S IS A GREAT LITTLE PLACE. THEIR FOOD HAS FLAVOR (WICH SOME PEOPLE SEEM TO NOT KNOW ABOUT). THE BEST THING ON THE MENUE IS THE #6. IT GIVES YOU A LITTLE OF EVERYTHING.THEY ARE A CLEAN PLACE WITH A WONDERFUL ATMOPHERE. THE WAIT STAFF IS VERY ATTENTIVE AND HAVE PATIENCE WHEN IT COMES TO FAMILY WITH CHILDREN.

Why do we keep going back?. Again, we keep going back b/c we just want to remind ourselves why we don't go there. Food is terrible. My hubby never complains about anything. He's got a stomach of steel, but he couldn't stand to be in this place more than a half hour. The tables were sticky as were the greasy menus. Ewww.

I've never tasted mexican food this terrible.

My hubby's boss says the same thing. The three times he's been there , he always vowes will be his last times there. Unfortunately for him, this is the place that his clients bring him to (believe me - he's not paying, the clients pay for the meal.)

I don't recommend this place to even my enemy.
