Citysearch Editorial Review. The kitchen attached to this dingy Asian grocery is the epitome of the term “hidden gem.” Only a handful of in demand tables line one side of the small store but the made-to-order food is authentic—seriously. An order of papaya salad with crab doesn’t mean it’s sprinkled with chunks of flaky flesh plucked from the claw; it means mini purple crabs stinking up your plate. But as long as you don’t misguidedly try to order extra-spicy, you’ll be treated to some of the freshest, vibrant Thai food in the city.

All your thai food needs for cooking AND eating. Asia Market pleases both sides of me: the side that loves to cook and the side that loves to just eat. Thankfully, I can devour some incredibly flavorful authentic pad Thai and acquire all of my Thai cooking needs in one spot!

This ethnic grocer stocks everything you need to prepare delicious and authentic Thai dishes from fresh Thai basil to lemongrass. The shelves are also filled with an assortment of prepared soups and curries for those less inclined to intricate cooking projects.

I find myself here on a regular basis not for the Thai but simply for the coconut milk. As a coconut milk junkie, I put it in smoothies, in frosting, in rice and no other place will feed my addiction at such affordable prices!
