Walk into the door at Venus Hair and you find a piece of Heights History. Owner Susan Venus purchased the shop in 1978,it was owned and operated by Bill Vaughn as19th Avenue Barber Shop for 50 years.Venus Hair attracts tour groups and Media attentionI(including an article in Vogue Magazine) with it's collections of masks and dolls and an array of mannequins sporting the proverbial big hair. favorite. Venus and Romeo treat each client as though you are the only client. I carry Venus Hair cards with me now, because people are always asking who did my hair.

Still the best!. There is never a bad hair day at Venus Hair! Venus, Jill, and Betty aim to please, and they have never disappointed me! Grow it long, bob it, lighten it, slay the grays, flash it up, tone it down, tie it up--and have a heavenly pedicure, too, if you're lucky enough to be there on Tuesday. The shop is a joyful experience, from the funky curios to the aroma of Farouk Silk Therapy. Of course, they are BEAUTICIANS, not magicians. They can't turn an old hen into a young chick or a mule into a thoroughbred. (I think they sell stuff on late-night TV for that!) Venus Hair is a Heights treasure!

Wonderful. I came in at the last minute to get my hair done before I had to be in a wedding... the ladies of Venus salon were booked with appointments, but managed to squeeze me in anyway. The work was superb and I couldn't have been more appreciative. Highly recommended.

Comfort Food For the Body and Spirit!. Where can you go to have FUN, talk with people from all walks of life, about anything and everything? Maybe you want to read, write, visit, or just be quite-Hey this is the Place. Venus and Romeo can give valuable opinions as well as methods, products, to change or NOT to change? Go 'wild,' or 'natural,' with your hair style, color, whatever? Venus and Romeo are the BEST! The shop is a comfort FOOD for body and spirit, and you look good. Miss Betty gives the best pedicares ever-no kidding! Check this 'joy spot' out!
