oh my goodness!!! after driving in from austin yesterday, i met my friend at venus hair -- she told me about this wonderful neighborhood salon. first, i almost wrecked my car before i got it parked as i was busy looking at susan venus' art car/art hairse...it's bee-u-tee-ful. then the atmosphere in the salon was so great...it's like going back to mayberry where all the townsfolk stop by to chat and an occasional stranger asking random questions/opinions. the decor inside is oh so entertaining, special attention to detail is obvious. Jill painted and whacked my hair. i cannot relate to you how happy i was when i left and still am. and she did it with very little direction from me...i told her a very vague and general idea, and she went with it and did an incredible job. THE PRICE...was a very pleasant surprise, something that doesn't happen to me very often. thanks jill and susan, marilyn from austin

I've been going to Venus Hair for about a year now and have been a client of Sharon Luckie for over two years. I have recommended both salon and stylist to everyone I know. Venus operates a great business and the atmosphere is something you can't find anywhere else on the planet. There's a real sense of community that you can feel when the folks who live in the neighborhood stop in for a visit. Sharon is always on top of the latest styles and takes time to walk you through every aspect of your service. They've always been flexible on scheduling me when I need to come in and giving me exactly what I want at an affordable price. I can't think of any more important attributes for a salon. Highly recommend.
Pros: Results! Always look great after leaving there.
Cons: Parking-Sometimes have to walk a little, only a problem if its raining.
