Editorial Review for Tony's Mexican Restaurant – by Andrea Loera
In Short
Though the restaurant has expanded many times to accommodate the perennially large crowds, the atmosphere remains endearingly festive with arched doorways and oilcloth-topped tables. Owner Tona Vega presides over the spacious dining room as rowdy packs of young diners and families make short work of queso flameado, massive combo platters, enchiladas, carne asada, tacos, burritos and fajitas. Other items include entree-sized salads, pork chops, bacon-wrapped shrimp and the parrilla especial with quail.

we have been going to Tonys for years. It has declined over the last 1-2 years. The food ok and the service can be real bad at times. They still have, I feel, the best green sauce on the planet. I sure hope they clean up their act or I may not go there anymore.

food is bad, margaritas are the best thing they serve there. I went there for months and spend like 60 dollars on margaritas and food i didn't really eat, I was there mainly for the margaritas, I heard people making gay jokes and i didn't like that, i told my friends not to go either, on fridays gay people made good money for the owner, until the owner apoligizes to gay people we wont go there not even for the excellent margaritas. the place is begining to have that poor getto clientele.
Pros: goo margaritas
Cons: nasty food, not a gay friendly retaurant
