This treasure trove of Mexican folk art along the quaint, artsy shopping mecca of 19th Street stocks imports and local artwork both high and low. Past the complimentary bowl of cookies sitting by door are lucha libre masks, embroidered dresses, paper mache skulls and tin medallions that fill the space with color and warmth. Owner Macario Ramirez and his wife Chrissie are almost always in the store welcoming customers and often host exhibits and presentations on Mexican culture. Although the prices on some items seem slightly high, each piece is handcrafted and unique.
