“Office staff is rude and director is not very bright.”
Political?!. Trinity is very, very liberal. As, Lutheran churches are usually Conservative.. This one is all about politics, that is very true to the other poster. Who do you know? How can you be ridiculed or made fun of? That has been the core theme of Trinity since a long time.Kids have been have teased, and made fun of, during this time. If you are not one of the elite, and they don't like you right off the bat you are labeled for the rest of your days. A better than thou attitude is one theme in Lutheran churches, and this one does a good job of exemplifying that. Every facet of this place screams "I am better than you, you're inferior to me, you have something wrong with you (or your child does), and I am perfect". I would never send my children here to school, nor to the church. To the mom who said her child was discriminated against... People there seem to get a rise out of making fun of people or saying their child or they are better than other people. Which, is in many places.
Discriminate against certain kids.
My son has motor speech delay and he was not accepted because of his condition. They accused him of being a danger to the student population on his first day of trial because he and another child has a confrontation. They had a normal 3 year old dispute but according to the director he showed "no remorse." The teacher did not comment or seem worried. She thought we were going to return. It was more of an excuse to not have to accept him. According to the director, "he just did not click or make a conection" and she handed me my application and asked me not to return. All kids in that class were white and had blond hair, including no disabilites. I made the mistake of telling the director before hand of his special situation, and all of a sudden she wanted to try him out. I know if several mothers that take their kids there and they were never asked to bring in their child for a trial.
If you have a child with some type of disability, this is not the place to place your child. Office staff is rude and director is not very bright. Just as another reviewer commented, all about politics!!!!
My church.... I've been a member at Trinity since I was 5. I think this institution would be more wonderful if "politics" weren't involved in it. With all Lutheran schools/churchs and probably more denominations its who you know that gets you somewhere. Its the same way in high school too. Trinity has been dubbed "the mother of all Lutheran churches in Houston". When you think of LCMS churches/schools in Houston Trinity and Our Savior most likely come to mind.
