Memorial Park

Memorial Park offers plenty of walking space for those of us who LOVE to powerwalk. Memorial Park is a beautiful park and very clean. Friendly folks who observe and obey the code of ethics. A lovely park for those of us who enjoy staying physically fit. However, the pollution in H town is an ongoing problem, and in the park too. So, you're breathing in that stuff while exercising. Parking isn't a problem (early morning ha-ha).
Oh, many thanks to St. Theresa for allowing us to use your clean
bathroom!!
SS
- Pros: 2.88 miles of walking/jogging
- Cons: Bathroom facilities
Great park

This park is great, if you like to bike, run, play sports then this is your park. There are lots of things you can do here. The restrooms are not very clean but if you are going to the outdoors you should also not be expecting Ritz Carlton type restrooms. The bike trails are very fun and have all types even for people that are just starting out. The only thing that I would like is that the park would implement park rangers or HPD officers on bikes. Many times you will see the soccer crowd leave beer cans all over or people just acting stupid. You know there always is the few that act stupid. Other than that this is a great park for all the family including the dog.
- Pros: bike trail, running trail, picnic area
- Cons: no park rangers or HPD officers patrolling the inside of the park so people litter too much
Beautiful, in-close, historic course, updated and ideal for today's golf.

Great old style layout, with very mature trees. Fair course, with accuracy rewarded. Fairways are generally large, but there are plenty of places to lose a ball. Water is only an important issue on a couple of holes. Total distance ranges from 7,305 to 5,459, offering a good chance for every level of golfer.
Tee times filled by lottery three days in advance, and the course stays full but not crowded. Marshals keep players moving at a reasonable pace. As others have mentioned, parking is a problem in the immediate parking lot, but there is plenty of parking at the church across the street and along the loop road (why do golfers complain about having to walk a couple of hundred extra yards?) Nice full service facility - good instructional staff, nice range (gets very crowded at peak times), decent pro shop and good food at Beck's Prime Grill.
- Pros: Beautiful Course. Great Location. Full Service Muni Course.
- Cons: Parking, Difficult to get tee times.
