Strong drinks!. Great place to just hang out and get a drink. AVOID THE BARTENDER near the d**k dancers towards the far end of bar. Dark hair with a gut. He is rude and seems to be a little bitter about being old and still being a bartender. Go the the dude in the middle of the bar. So much nicer and will actually smile. Seriously. Other than the rude bartender...all is well here.

Good ol' Southern Hospitality and Service!. Now this was a great place. Down to earth security guy at the door inviting you in. No cover when I was there after midnight on Saturday evening, 9/8. A pleasure to go back time and time again to the consistency of good southern hospitality and no attitude. Drinks were cheap and strong. service was fast and friendly. Dancers were very hot. I enjoyed playing pool in the back. I will return. FUN FUN FUN!

A Pacific District gay bar popular with mature men looking for love.. In Short
"The Mine" is a tacky bar where single gay men in their 30s and beyond dust off leather and Levi's for a night of trolling. The exotic dancers are a pleasant distraction and the outdoor patio and deck affords a nice view of the area, but one is left with the impression that there's nothing left to mine but refined memories. They love their trash disco (think Grace Jones or The Village People) here. To keep things interesting, prize giveaways, $2.25 well drinks, $2 domestic bottles and $1 mugs of Shiner are featured daily.

The Mine!. This is be best no-drama, no-bs gay bar in the city. Hot dancers, great music, cheap drink specials and friendly stafff make this a great hang-out especially busy Friday/Saturday nights. And, if you think there's nothing left to mine, you'd better think again!
