I really love Montrose Tire. The staff is thoughtful, friendly and always efficient and they go beyond what think to help me. Abraham, Lee and all the staff are amazing. Montrose encourage wise decisions when it comes to car care, and we know we can trust them to recommend what is smart and reasonable for our vehicles--they aren't out to make a quick buck, but rather build meaningful relationships with customers. Great shop and great staff.

Unlike all other shops, who try's to sell you a rebuilt transmission when you may need just a pump or clutch kit. that's why i kept bringing my vehicle to Montrose Automotive the only shop we will use and trust. Good guys. After being dissatisfied with every vehicle repair shop in Houston, I was told to try this one. Been going there ever since & think they are the best shop . As a woman I have to trust garages not to take advantage of my ignorance. They never have & bend over backwards to explain what I want to know. They've even drove me home to wait for a repair when it's going to take a while. I couod simply rave about them it's such a relief to drive a truck thats trustworthy, Honest and excellent customer service.

I have never meet a more helpful and friendly staff! I have used this shop for my last two cars and they just keep getting better.
First I had an '03 mazda and I brought it in for everything from my many flat tires, to body work after a accident. They were always fast and keep me informed on how the job was going. They even gave me a rental car so I didn't miss class!
Now i have a '11 juke and this car is my BABY!! I bring it in any time I hear a noise new noise... so the see me more than the should. They are always honest and tell when and if I actually need service. Never have I been to a auto shop this much and paid so little.
Just want to thank Abraham,Lee, and Johnny for all the great service. I don't think I will ever use another shop.
Never Again..Robbery to say the least!!!.
I had no choice but to take my car there because of a temp problem. I was told it needed a cooling fan and rear 02 sensor. I was charged $670.00 for the fan including labor
I didn't have the sensor replaced there. After researching the part I found out that i could buy the EXACT SAME fan for $96.00!!! I am so angry at them I would like to sue them
for fraud..NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent service, competitive prices. We have been using Montrose Automotive Center for the last three years -- since we moved to the area -- and feel really fortunate to have found them. We recommend this garage to everyone. We have lived all over the country and have gone to a wide variety of places for our car repairs, and I think both my wife and myself can honestly say that these guys are some of our favorite mechanics, and they are within walking distance of where we live. Our experience has been consistently positive; they do excellent work at a competitive price (oil changes are inexpensive, for instance). In the rare instance when we have an issue with our repairs, they've have taken care of the problems without any issues. We honestly have no complaints, and I definitely recommend this garage if you are in the Montrose area.
I would say I agree with dalesmith34: A good garage gone bad!!! I was there before a year ago to fix my car and the sevice was good, price was fair. So this time when I found my battery always died with no reason, I returned to them for inspection. First they told me my battery was bad and I need to change it, the price came up at ~$120, which was totally fine with me. Then when I said yes so quickly for them to change my battery, they came up to say my alternator was also bad. I asked for the price. They called someone(maybe dealer? I am not sure...) for price. When they got off the phone, they have just been comunicating using papers. Then they told me it was gonna cost me ~$700 in total!!! Wholly sh**t!!!
I refused and drove up to the autozone just 5-10 mins away. They helped me check my battery and alternator and turned out there was nothing wrong with the alternator. I ended up paying $100 for the bad battery!!!
And this is not the Montrose Automotive center on Alabama which I even had worse experience!!! I would never go back to them and kindly suggest you not go there. DO NOT TRUST whatever they say!!! They tend to speak louder when you are trying to ask technical questions to show they know better than you!!! DO NOT BE FOOLED by them!!!
A good garage gone bad. Montrose Automotive used to be THE garage to visit in the Montrose area. I'd been a customer for nearly 14 years. In that time, however, the shop changed ownership and the service has since declined. For the last three repairs I've had done -- replace distributor assembly, replace alternator, and the like -- EVERY repair has needed readjustment at least twice. It is as if the mechanics are so focused on speed they slap repairs together without being sure what they've done functions as it should. The final straw was when my steering went out on my car as a result of a so-called repair, causing me to drift into oncoming traffic. All Montrose Auto could say was "woops!" This was unacceptable. After another disrupted day of missing time at work, having to take a Metro bus, I finally got the repair finished -- and I've never gone back.
