I love Sacred Heart Studio. It's so bright and friendly, and the artists there are really dedicated to creating the best tattoos for their customers. Their jewelry selection is quite large too, and they have everything from large organic plugs to odd gauge barbells and every color jewel inset pieces you could imagine! They are easy to find at the corner of Taft and Westheimer in the Montrose area, but be sure to park in the parking lot behind the studio and not on Taft as there are many no-parking signs on that street.
Pros: Artists Portfolios, Space, Dedication to Customer Satisfaction, Accessibility from any part of Houston

I have had a piercing and two tattoos done here and loved it. My piercing experience was terrific. They were kind, professional, clean, everything you could wish. I loved that they walked me through everything they did and how everything was sterilized, and they were great about explaining the aftercare procedures and answering questions. As for my tattoos, my husband and I both had a tattoo done there right after our wedding. Jared Green did mine, and he was terrific. He used my artwork, and we discussed it and he tweaked it a little so that it would pop a bit more. He was completely reassuring and kind and funny. Again, he walked me through everything he was doing, so I felt completely informed about what was happening and good about the cleanliness and hygiene practices. I knew I'd go back for my next tattoo and I did. Again, Jared was my artist and I loved how professional and nice he was. He didn't love the design I brought in, and asked if I was willing to discuss it. We talked it over and he made a few suggestions and offered to draw a new version that he felt would make a better tattoo. I agreed and I couldn't be more pleased with what he drew - he was absolutely right about the changes he suggested - it made a much better and more unique and cohesive piece. I cannot say enough good things about the studio and their standards and care. If I do any other pieces, I will certainly go back to Sacred Heart, and I would further recommend Jared to anyone as one of the best I've met.
Pros: Professional, clean, great artwork.
Cons: Parking on weekends or evening can be difficult because of area.
