D'Anna Davis - master colorist and strategist. Until I turned 40, I was blessed with low-maintenance, straight hair. Since 40, I have struggled with gray, dull and frizzy hair. Finding limited success through coloring my own hair and finding a suitable hairdresser, I finally found D'Anna, who is not only a master colorist and stylist, but more of a partner in my long-term hair maintenance. I strongly recommend D'Anna if you are seeking a partner in managing your hair challenges. She is brilliant!

KERATIN HAIR STRAIGTNER (WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE). I WAS IN VISITING FROM NEW YORK AND D'ANNA FROM HOT TOPS DID THE KERATIN STRAIGHTNER ON ME AND I CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW BEAUTIFUL MY HAIR LOOKS. ITS BEEN A LIFE LONG UNMANAGABLE PROBLEM FOR ME-IT WOULD TAKE HOURS TO GET MY HAIR JUST RIGHT ONLY TO GO OUT IN THE HUMIDITY OR RAIN FOR IT TO LOOK LIKE A DISASTER-

MY HAIR IS HEALTHY SHINY IT HAS BODY NO FRIZZ AND I'VE HAD SO MANY COMPLIMANTS THAT I WANTED TO SHARE IT WITH THE WORLD AND THE DRYING TIME WAS CUT IN HALF

LOVE IT - CANT LIVE WITHOUT IT

Jeffrey @ Hot Tops!. I just left Hot Tops in Montrose where Jeffrey did the MOST fabulous job with my hair! Thank you sooo much Jeff! You have cured me of hair salon phobia. Jeff really knows how to listen and how to deliver. If you aren't sure what you want...or know exactly what it is you are looking for...Jeffrey can, and will, deliver.

DANIEL IS THE BEST!!!!!!!. This place was recommended to me months ago. My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. The atmosphere is great and I felt welcome the moment I walked into the shop.

I knew I was in good hands.

Daniel was my hair stylists and he was terrific! He was very in tune with what I wanted and what would look best on me. I am so freakin happy with my results that I will need surgery to remove this smile from my face. I can't wait til my next appointment. You must try this place!

Glad I tried a new hair salon TODAY!!!!!. Well I just moved in to the Montrose area and was looking for an upscale hair salon. I looked on Citysearch and found this wonderful place!!! I made an appointment for today and was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I received a great cut, THANK YOU Blair and had a wonderful time. They all were very busy, but not too busy to offer me refreshments. A great glass of wine with a great haircut, now how can you beat that!!!! I will be back and am thinking of coloring my hair next time. Thanks again for the great experience, SOOOOO glad I found you all.

Not a good experience at all. I got a horrible haircut-the worst one I've ever had- that is going to take me months to grow out. It's such a shame because I thought I had found such a great stylist. I had to cut off about 2 inches from the length (which is what I was initially trying to grow out in the 1st place) just to make it look somewhat even. I've now learned that sometimes pictures and simple communication just isn't enough. I will never go back to this salon.

fun place. elia was great! she consulted me on my hair to make sure that i wasn't making a mistake. the outcome was beautiful, i recommended everyone I know and they have all had great expieence with her.

Jeff is Exceptional !!!. he took me on short notice and did an amazing job on my cut. I was very scared to make the change from tony & guy, but he came with such high recommendations that I trusted him. I'm very pleased with the results and will be coming back!!!

Jeffrey Parker is Tops. I'm almost embarrassed to admit that Jeffrey is the sixth stylist I've had during my first year in Houston. I didn't find him because he was named Best Hairdresser by the Houston Press. Instead, the old brick building on Montrose that houses Hot Tops caught my eye, and every time I'd go by on my way home from work (around 8 or 9 pm), he was in the window working. He really listens to what you have to say and gives you an incredible cut. After an appointment with Jeffrey, I get a lot of compliments on my hair, the first time that's happened since 2004. I cannot recommend Jeff highly enough, and I like being able to call or text him directly for an appointment (713-305-7610). Jeffrey is amazing. You won't be disappointed. For this guy, the sixth time's a charm!

Jeffrey Parker-Hot Tops Greatest!. Shortly, I'll be re-locating to Seattle, WA and my biggest fear is never being able to find a hairdresser like Jeffrey! He's been cutting my hair for years, which in my case having hair that is fine, thin and with multiple cowlicks is challenging! What a comfort it has been knowing a professional who understands your hair needs and is focused on the details it takes to give you an outstanding cut. Two bonuses are his humor and his engaging conversations. His 2008 Houston Press Best Hairdresser is, indeed, well deserved. Want a great salon experience?
