In Short – This quaint historic guesthome offers 12 rooms with private baths, king-sized "sleep number" beds, televisions and telephones. Most rooms overlook the lovely landscaped grounds; some have a private balcony. If you need to unwind, linger in the pool or Jacuzzi, read a good book in the study, or take a stroll through the English garden. Soft music, fresh flowers and glowing candles create a soothing and tranquil atmosphere. A courtyard gazebo is perfect for wedding receptions and special events.

The Lovett Inn was a gorgeous place and I just loved the rooms, garden and breakfast (sparkling cider yum!). I was even offered an extra bed to accommodate my many guests. The only issue I had was the somewhat lukewarm welcome as a group of teenagers. But if you're past your teens, this is a great place to stay.

The Lovett Inn is a gorgeous, romantic, tastefully decorated, tranquil and calming space set in the heart of the dynamic and trendy Montrose District. The proprietors are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area: from wining and dining, to museum and gallery visiting and other points of interest. They are willing to assist to make one's stay absolutely perfect. This kind of personal attention is a rare find in an establishment situated in the heart of such a large city. A wonderful experience to be repeated as often as possible!
Nightmare on Lovett St...

We made reservations for July 6th and 7th to attend a wedding. The rooms did not look like the website pictures looked. We were told there were some cancellations and perhaps we might be interested in staying in a room in the main house instead of the townhouse. He (One of the two gentlemen who own this place) said they were painting the suite above us the following day. I booked this particular suite a month and a half earlier on-line thru their website. They had plenty of time to "PLAN" for us and could have chosen more wisely the day in which they painted the suite above the room we booked. I received no email confirmation from them. A week before we arrived I emailed requesting confirmation and the reply was two words: YOUR CONFIRMED. The breakfast was continental and available 24/7; There was NO cooked breakfast. Disappointing. Then we were told that there was a thermostat in the joined hallway that was shared between our unit (7) and the upstairs unit. This was fine.. a non-issue at the time. The following morning, we awoke to heavy thuds and heavy feet and moving. It woke me up. Then it got really hot in our room, so I went into the shared hallway and turned the air back on because it was turned OFF.Thirty minutes later it was hot again; THE OWNERS TURNED IT UP To 85 this time. I was furious. We left at around 11am and returned at 3:30. The maid had not come. We dressed for the wedding and left. The next morning guess what? IT WAS HOT AGAIN because they adjusted it AGAIN while they were painting the upstairs suite AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN. We left shortly after 10am and it was not fast enough. I am disgusted as you can tell. I am shocked that this place is open for business. There is virtually NO SERVICE. FREE is too much to pay. Stay away and save yourself from this nightmare on Lovett St.
