“great place to eat and drink”
“Most plates are really good, but the emphasis here is on seafood.”
“The menu is pretty seafood based and the sides are phenominal.”
“Definitely a great place and a hidden gem!”
“The mango margaritas were delicious (our waiter called them "medicine" haha), and the food was amazing.”
“We waited a long time for our food and then when it came the portions were awful.”
“The staff for the most part has always been less than desirable, slow service and poor customer service in general.”
By far the worse customer service, food
and overall experience I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. It's a shame because I feel that the location and restaurant has great potential but its just terrible.
Sometimes when the food is so good I don't even care that the service is bad. But since the moment my group got there the service was terrible, and the food was awful, the alcoholic beverages were absolutely disgusting. When you ask to speak with a manager, there is no manager. And that salsa is not that great, certainly not good enough to deal with all the other terrible things going on in this place
I will never go there again and I do yourself a favor and find a better place to go to.
Food was delicious, drinks were great,
service was great, smell of the inside was a bit of a turn off but we ate outside so whatever. The food holds its flavour well after it cools down which was good for my girl because she eats slow. The margaritas are good and the mojitos :).. I love this place, would recommend to anyone.
Oh but parking is crappy!!!...
gift certificate policy unfair. We received our bill of $29.08 & I attached a gift certificate for $50. The waitress informed us that we could use the certificate but she will not be giving us any change in return. I said fine it doesn’t have to be cash just give me another certificate for the difference. She said no I cannot give you change if you use it and we will just need to use it the next time we dine over $50. I said baloney I should be able to use it now if I want to, I only dined here today because I had a certificate. And I should receive the $20.92 difference either by certificate or cash. And I asked her if she explained the rules to the purchaser and she said no but these are our rules. I said to her for the restaurant to keep change from gift certificates is not only ridiculous but theft. She then agreed (probably to get me rid of me) to give me a certificate for the change-- who knows if it will be valid later. Have dined here many times, food is not great but the patio is a tropical getaway. However I do not feel like returning anytime soon. I will mail the certificate to the owner with a request that they visibly post their policy of keeping customer s change when they use gift certificates so the purchaser can beware.
LOVED IT :). went for a party and the service was on the dot! it was a party of 30 and they had plenty of staff to host us and the food came out right for a big party like us....we reserved cabanas and loved it nothing like this place in Houston! just make sure u RSVP on the weekends for patio tables! will go back very soon! :)
great atmosphere. the place is a great place to sit and enjoy the margaritas. i have had great services since my last visit. the new hostes is nice. the margaritas just tasted better this time around. I guess is the whole ambient that makes it all better. great place to eat and drink
Multiple bad experiences with staff.. My girlfriend and friends have been going here for years. The staff for the most part has always been less than desirable, slow service and poor customer service in general. Not to mention that the Cocoritas, which are quite tasty, have had multiple price increases. They are no longer worth the 10-12 dollars they will charge you, yes, I said 10 to 12... the price magically fluctuates. Three of us stopped by sunday afternoon for lunch and cocoritas. We each had 2 cocoritas and food. We got the bill and it was 90 dollars, which is fine BUT as we we're paying our bill my girlfriend was about halfway through with her second Cocorita when she hit something with her straw. As she pulled it to the surface it was a receipt from CVS. As you can imagine she was pretty disgusted as we all were. We asked to speak to the manager. A woman manager was working this day, I dont recall her name, but wish I did. Anyhow she comes over and doesnt believe that this receipt was in the cocorita. She starts insinuating that we placed it in there. All we asked her to do was bring a fresh cocorita and she refused to do this. We pointed out that we had just spent over 100 dollars (tip included) and that it was ridiculous that she would think we placed this receipt in there. Eventually she brought out one of the house margaritas, but we were so disgusted at this point we just left. After dealing with such rude waitstaff (most but not all) and management time and time again, we will not be going here anymore. And just so you know, they do reuse the coconuts for the cocoritas. If you dont have the fresh white insides on yours it's used. Look in the coconut and if there are straw scrapes on the white, it's used... look inside the coconut, if you find a receipt... you are a liar and management will tell you so.
LOVED IT :). I have been going to Pueblito for about 2 yrs now since I moved from Cali. everytime the day is nice I'm the first to be there! they remodled everything inside and made it diff then the patio. the food is so good and not overpriced. the margaritas may be a Lil hight but they aren't weak :)....overall I can't wait for them to get re cabanas going again! very good place for outside parties...just one thing do not park in the shopping center or the little empty Italian place and bar will tow without letting u know!...how rude!
Watch you bill.
My wife and I both ordered margaritas with our meal. I ordered the coco-rita, 10.95, and my wife ordered the lime-rita, 5.95. When we got the bill, the waitress charged me 12.00 for the coco-rita and 7.00 for the lime-rita. I had to show them on the menu that we were overcharged. Ultimately they changed the bill but, I am very upset because this is the second time this has happened to us. I think they are trying to overcharge people who might have had one too many.
My warning to anyone considering this restaurant.....
WATCH YOUR BILL !
Great Patio with Horrible Service. The only reason I ever consider this place is to enjoy a nice Houston day on their patio. However, I always leave frustrated and saying that I will never go back. Houston has too many great restuarants with better food to put up with the horrible service you will inevitably get at El Pueblito.
Are we in Cancun?. Amazing atmosphere on the patio - love the salsa - good ritas - friendly staff - the inside decor is scary - but when you walk down the hallway to the patio - it feels like you should have sand in between your toes
