Awesome experience! My friend and I went on a friend's recommendation. Worked with Catfish and Gary and they were great and we both love our new tattoos (that we've been waiting to get for years)! Definitely, without a doubt would go back and would recommend them!

Get your tattoo here. I have a few tattoos in mind and I was in the mood so I drove down Westheimer and inquired to a few shops about getting some ink done that night. I have three shops tell me no or make an appointment even though there were 3+ guys just standing around talking. I came upon this shop on my way home and thought why not. Best choice!

My tattoo design has extremely straight lines with a shady figure and it is GORGEOUS. I had seven people stop me the next day to look at it. The lines look like he held a ruler up to them, they are perfect and he was so nice. A lot of the tattoo was missing from the picture I gave and he came up with something that fit the design and my arm. I really enjoyed my experience here, it was extremely clean and everyone was so nice. I will be back!

Great place for first-timers. The moment I walked in to discuss my ideas for my first tattoo, Catfish was there to assist me. It was great to have an artist who was genuinely interested and excited about your vision, yet they are able to present their personal suggestions without making you feel like a novice.

Before you know it, my girlfriend and I are walking out of the parlor with badass tattoos! I highly recommend speaking to Catfish for your first tat here. The other artists there also gave off a very positive vibe that made me feel very welcome.

Awesome Artist, Great work!. I had my first tattoo done here by Gary. He does great work, and I've had every tattoo after that done by him as well. I like Gary a lot, the entire place has a really great atmosphere. Most tattoo shops that I've been to - they're not real friendly and the people had no personality. Texas Tattoo Emporium plays great music, and all the guys who work there that i've encountered are real laid back, cool guys. The place was recommended by my best friend who gets her work done there and I'm glad I went. Everytime I go back I ask for Gary. I love the work he does. The work I've had done is well worth all the money i've spent. Best place to go!

Go see Stevie! Soooo happy with his work!. I came into TT after another parlor wanted to overcharge me for a small piece (not to mention any names directly, but it's down Westheimer across the street from Numbers) and I'm so glad I did! Stevie looked at my design and gave me a few pointers that I appreciated very much since the tattoo I wanted was very meaningful to me. He even cleaned up another small tat that I had and made it look ten times better. He is patient and takes his time and I will definitely go back to see him.

Don't go to the place across from Numbers; they are lazy, looked like they had a long night of partying, and try to overcharge. Go see Stevie at Texas Tattoo. I will def recommend their shop to my friends.

Great shop, Stevie does outstanding work!. This was actually my first tattoo, and I have been waiting 7 years to get this done. I have known what I wanted that entire time but a variety of reasons has kept me from doing.

I finally decided to take the plunge, and after much searching on the internet decided to use this shop, and because of some of his portfolio pieces I decided that Stevie was the man for the job.

Let me just say that I was not dissapointed. Stevie did incredible work, it was quick, clean, easy, and outstanding quality. He answered all of my questions, eased all of my concerns.

I am allready thinking about a couple of more pieces I would like done, and will definately be back. Thanks Stevie!

Not what I expected..BETTER. the tattoo was cheaper, faster, and then they even made my original idea better than I had it planned. It was my first one and my artist, Antone, was great about it.

Many of my friends are getting tatts in the near future and I'm def suggesting this place.

Stevie is the Best!!!. I had considered going to a different studio but after I saw Antone and Stevie's portfolios I knew that I had to go to TTE. Stevie was there and I showed him my drawing I wanted. It was done with brushstrokes and since it was mine I wanted it exactly like it was. He advised that some of the strokes were so fine he probably could not get it that detailed. I said that was fine, I was glad he was upfront about it. I asked his advice about some coloring and he said that we would do the black and if I wanted the color shading he would be more than happy to do it. Well, he lied about not getting it as detailed as the picture. It is PERFECT. He had to complete one of the brushstrokes (it had been cut out of the pic) and I could not be happier. It was a little pricey but worth every penny and had to problem adding a tip after! Thanks!

Jay at texas tattoo. I got tattoo'd by the guy named jay. I must admit, the tattoo is way different than the art that i initially brought in, its way better. He took the time to evaluate the drawing and redraw it for me. I ended up with a awesome tattoo. He has the eye of the tiger.

Great Reputation............... .......

I have altered my initial review. It would be unwise to judge an entire tattoo studio based on one persons, bad day. I have seen work from this shop, and I have heard rave reviews from many people. Simply put, I was not personally impressed with customer service. I got the sense that I was negotiating with a rock star to play at my daughters wedding, in other words I was not that important.
