In Short – This well-organized warehouse of a store has been a favorite for Lone Star trinkets for more than 20 years. There are the cowboy boots (900 pairs of them), which vary in style from eel to ostrich and from no-name to handmade. All have been arranged neatly by size with the highest concentration to be found inside a small shelf-lined room. Texas Junk sells hundreds of picture frames, lamps, record albums, band uniforms, rotary telephones and doors.
Great place to shop when you don't know what you want

Somebody needs to kick Novotney in the shins and motivate him to create a website. I have shopped at Texas Junk over twenty-five years... that kind of hurts to say out loud because I don't feel that old! Texas Junk has tons of amazing stuff tucked away on floor to ceiling shelves and spilling out of buckets and bins. You can find vintage roller-skates to old blue glass telephone transformers. I loved shopping here in my youth & if/when I visit Houston I will stop by for a new treasure!

- Pros: Tons of neat stuff you never knew you needed
- Cons: Only one location and no website.
Texas Junk is THE best 'junk' shop in Texas!

I love the huge wood stove with several comfy chairs at the front of the store each winter. The place is so huge and has such a diverse selection it would be impossible for me to list the attributes. Suffice to say... it is a wonderful junking place... superbly organized... and just a lot of fun to browse through. (you'll never believe how many things you'll find you didn't even know you needed!!!) Lots of yard art type stuff too.
- Pros: tons of "stuff"... regularly adds new merchandise... good prices
- Cons: sometimes kinda hot in summer... and a bit chilly in cold weather... but not terrible! (and then there's that great wood stove!)
