A Houston institution. The Montrose location is usually packed, but worth the wait. You can't go wrong with the hummus platter.

Great flavor but the portions are getting smaller. Love the gyro plate and their used to be enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. But the servings have shrunk so the 'value' part of the equation has caused a star to be lost. Still some of the best greek food in the city.

Overpriced & Overrated. My husband and I ate regularly (1 x week for 2 years) at Niko Niko's until recently when the quality of food s decreased and the prices increased.

Here is what we used to pay for our regular take-out order along with the new price of each item:

Hummus with Pita (half order): was $3.95, now $5.95

Small greek salads : was $3.75, now $4.75

Chicken Avgolemono soup: was $4.50, now $5.95

Gyro sandwich: was $6.75, now $7.95

Not only have the prices increased but the quality declined drastically. The Hummus with Pita half order used to come with a generous portion of fresh veggies. Now the order includes 2 tomatoes, 2 cucumbers, 2 peppers, and 2 olives---all for $2 more than earlier this year. The greek salads used to be full of fresh veggies as well. Now they come with a bowl full of lettuce and 1 small slice of onion, 1 tiny banana pepper, a couple of cucumbers, two slices of tomatoes, and olives ($1 more). The chicken soup used to be bigger and full of chicken chunks. Now, the soup comes in a container 1/3 smaller in size and you're lucky if you get one chunk of chicken. ($1.20 more).

Niko Niko's is overpriced and overrated!

Still the best. I have been going to Niko Niko's for as long as I can remember. It has been the best in town for a long time, their spanakopita and gyros are untouchable... The best in town, hands down.

Lots of sizzle but no steak.. First and last time customer. I was led here by all the great reviews this restaurant has received. I tried the gyro with french fries. Bad choice. I had to throw away most of it because it was awful. The meat was dry and the fries were soggy and tasted like burnt oil. I added some of the sauce that came with the gyro to give it some flavor, but it was in vain. I felt sick for two days after eating this food. I guess some of the other plates might be good, but I'll never know because I don't plan to return. I have a feeling the owner writes or pays people to write some of the great reviews about the gyros to fool us into coming to this restaurant. Save your $ and dine elsewhere. Peace out!

Best Gyro. Great food, best gyro in Houston! Love the outdoor seating; parking has improved but worth the hassle!

Huge plates, great location. Thankfully, they expanded the parking lot, cutting down on the walk from your vehicle to the restaurant. The plates here are huge, a couple could easily split one. The gyros are awesome and authentic. Great neighborhood institution in Montrose.

Three cheers for Niko Nikos!. Niko Niko's is the place I bring visitors, where I go for comfort food, and has my favorite patio. The service is always friendly and I enjoy the casual atmosphere. Their salads are amazing, as is their calamari with feta cheese. Three cheers for Niko Nikos!

decent but over-priced Greek fare. The salads are good, but you pay through the nose. You can finally park here, which is charming. My wife is nuts about this place. My wife also eats Lucky Charms for dinner sometimes. I guess you'll have to make up your own mind regarding whom to believe.

OVERPRICE PLASTIC WEAR. I went to Niko Niko?s last night and spent $15 on rolled cabbage. I paid $15 for ground beef mixed with rice rolled in a cabbage. Once again, I paid $15 for a mixture of GROUND BEEF ANS RICE. I should add that I ate it on plastic wear!!!

THIS RESTAURANT IS OVER PRICE. FOR $15 A PLATE A EXPECT MORE THAN PLASTIC WEAR AND SERVE YOUR OWN DRINK SERVICE.

The food was alright but I could have eaten better for $15 or cooked it at home.
