A Houston institution. The Montrose location is usually packed, but worth the wait. You can't go wrong with the hummus platter.

Houston's Greatest Greek!. The line's out the door, 'cause the food's off the charts!! Just delicious Greek food. Gyro's, Chicken Kebabs, perfect Baklava. And it's unpretentious not like so many "corporate" chains. Love this place. Terrific atmosphere. Bustling. But really, it's all about the yummy food!!! And even good coffee.

Love the Food. I love the food at Niko Nikos. There is no Greek food that comes close to it.

They have gotten a little expensive in the last few months, but still hands down I spend it because they are really great food.

I am addicted to the Athenian Pie it is wonderful!

Dont get caught by the hype. Review for the restaurant at 2520 Montrose

After reading a lot about this place online and finding out theat Guy Fieri went to this place, I was really excited to go my first time.

Well first of all they should update their menu online, especially their prices. We came around dinner time but the place was not very busy. The general atmosphere of this place is nice but unfortunately that was the only nice thing about it. In my opinion the prices are ridiculously high for the amount of food you get. Even though you atomatically get a "free" side with your meal I think its outrageously expensive because I dont go to a restaurant for a free side, I go there for a good sized portion, cooked fresh with good ingredients. I think that 10 Dollars for a Gyros sandwich with or without a side is way too expensive. The taste was nothing you could not get at any other place that serves Gyros. Maybe other Niko Nikos places are better than this one, but overall this is not the Greek Restaurant you want to go to for good authentic Greek food,

Greek Breakfast at Market Square Location. Ever have a Greek breakfast sandwich? I had one for the first time at their new Market Square location, in downtown, off Milam.

There are six different Greek breakfast burrito-like sandwiches which are $3.95 each. They are wrapped like gyros on toasted pita. I asked the cashier which one was her favorite and she said the Potato. It had potato, egg, mushrooms, and kasseri cheese. I followed it up with a huge baklava ($3.95). It was my brunch! I was so full and happy.

Some others are the Spartan (gyro, sausage, fried egg, grilled onions, and peppers), the Falafel (falafel, scrambled egg, onions, and tomatoes), and the Mediterranean (spinach, egg, onions, and feta).

I served myself some refreshing icy lemon water. Ahhh.

There is only patio seating. They have hand sanitizer outside. It is also dog friendly!

All this buzz over the most basic gyro ive tasted. I was seriously excited to finally go to NIko Niko's. Ever since I moved to Houston Ive heard about this place but never had a chance to go. Yes its wonderful that the business has a cult following and is seeing success. Yes I love the funny greek drawings on the wall. Yes its always a good vibe to see a never ending line of people ordering food. Though when you finally stalk a table thats availabe, wait in line for ten minutes and finally get your food what you get is a really lame tasting gyro. Absolutely nothing special. I was really disapponted. We also ordered a chicken dish and salad. Nothing was particuarly yummy. The only thing I liked was their custard/pastery dessert. I will always try a place once. I wont be back again, Ill have to hunt down a Greek joint that is more flavorful...

Gooey Jumbo Fried Shrimp!. They have either changed vendors for their jumbo breaded shrimp or their recipe. I used to enjoy their lightly breaded shrimp. Today's batch was the size of a chicken leg! When you bite into the huge shrimp, you quickly learn that it's all breading. My shrimp wasn't cooked long enough because the breading inside was gooey. I was really disappointed. The salad was the best part of my lunch. Even the french fries were off today.
