Poor Quality Food

The location is this fabulous, little cozy place.{Although, the decorations inside were a bit cheap & tacky looking} The waiter was very sweet and nice. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, fries and a lemonade. The grilled chicken was BURNT, and tasted like dirty dishwater. The fries were the frozen seasoned fries you can buy at Wal-Mart. Oh, the lemonade is simply the icing on the cake. I asked "do you have lemonade?" He responded back with "let me go check and see, I don't think we do." Well, he brought me back the lemonade and said "Someone made some yesterday, so I found you some, and you only get 1 refill with the lemonade." The lemonade was $3.25!!! I will NEVER go to this place again. I figure the next time I want to waste $15, I would do better to flush it down the toilet!
- Pros: Charming location, great customer service
- Cons: BAD Food
Fresh, healthy food.

The service was good and they have a small patio out front that is good for nice days. The menu has a lot of variety for vegetarians and/or health conscious eaters. The guacamole and chips appetizer was a good start. The guacamole was above average, the chips and salsa were fresh too.
The rotisserie chicken was fantastic! It came with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables. The gumbo was very good too if you're okay with beans. It has a more authentic taste to it so start off with a cup if you're unsure. I hear most everything on the menu is good and the Sunday brunch is a must have. Definitely plan on coming back.
- Pros: price, service, food, variety of foods to try, ambience (indoor patio)
- Cons: none. far, if you don't live around montrose area.
Still great after all of these years!

I grew up in the area and returned for a visit recently. My sister and I went back to Baba Yega's - it's easily been 15 or 20 years! It is still my favorite restaurant in town! I had the Portabella Sandwich..Yum! But everything that I have had there has been wonderful!
