“The service was very slow.”
Dirty Feeling. Hope you like old nasty grease. You have it here. They serve the food on a dirty red luby's style tray. The only protection is a thin piece of wax paper, that the grease eats through so fast that your food is now on the filthy tray. I got up and left without finishing. I'm OCD and could not handle this place.
Not even as good as Burger King. I tried this for the first time tonight because I was wanting a hamburger, and Lucky Burger delivers. I was extremely disappointed. The hamburger was a thin, fast-food like patty covered with melted artificial cheese. The fries were crinkly fries that were less tasty than ones I buy from the frozen food section. And the fried mushrooms (6 for the $2.69) were extremely breaded, also like what you get in the frozen food section of your grocery store. It was a bad bad meal. I will not re-visit Lucky Burger.
Good cheap eats. A place to get a good, simple, cheap, tasty burger. I'd reccomend to take it to go; ambience is not this place's strong points. Also, bring and use cash.
Great Burger!.
I went to Lucky Burger today for the first time in over 20 years, and the burgers were as big and tasty as they were in my youth...
I opted for the special (Double Cheeseburger , Fries, and a Drink) and it was one f the best burgers I have had in Houston!
The old Barrel building could do with a coat of paint, and the A/C could have been better, but the Burger was hands down worth the trip!
Not Impressed. I tried this place for lunch one day with some co-workers. I was not impressed. The double cheeseburger I order tasted like fish. The service was very slow. I will not visit again.
OH BOY!!!!!!. I found Lucky Burger years ago and fell in love with the oversized barrel and burgers not to mention the smiles from the staff. They only have about nine our ten tables and room for about five people to sit at a thin long table placed under the front window. The place serves a diverse clientele from all socioeconomic backgrounds. But this isn't about the fun you'll have watching the different people coming in or walking down the street, nor is it about the yummy yum yum fried rice. This all about the burgers and OH BOY ARE THEY GOOD. They come with fresh cut vegetables, lettuce, pickles and tomatoes and you would swear that they actually just cooked your toasted bun. I can feel the juices running down my arm now!
Not ordinary.
Lucky burger provides a good value in hamburgers and other grill burgers. The portion sizes are large and the taste is excellent.
And, hey, how often do you get to eat inside a big barrel? Sit quietly and watch the traffic zip down Richmond.
The owners are nice; after a few visits they will know you like family.
