Cancelled Wedding cake 2 wks before the wedding....
This place doesnt even deserve a star. Ordered a small wedding cake for next week, 4 months ago. I called yesterday to check on things and the lady says they are actually closed for thanksgiving and will be busy as they have 2 other wedding cakes to deliver so they want to give me my cake on wednesday - 3 days prior to the wedding. I was asked to talk to "the lady" who I assume is the owner and she said they are always closed on thanksgiving weekend.
Why the hell did they accept my order then? She said "Well, I wasn't the one who got your order". They had 4 months to tell me this but never picked up the phone to tell me their intention of giving me my wedding cake 3 days prior to the wedding. She then told me to just put it in the fridge.
WOW! Like I wont have a turkey and thanksgiving dinner in there already right? HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOUR LAZY IGNORANT STAFF...
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! RUDE! WILL CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY AND WILL NOT DELIVER ON THEIR WORD...
DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING.
Good but.... Good cakes, but they ripped me off and I just realized it. Okay so last week I ordered a cake from them. When I picked it up I was told it was $39.95. I asked for a receipt and she told me they don't give receipts. Very strange. Anyway, I payed and left. Then a few days ago I ordered the same exact cake. This time the price was $32.95. That's seven dollars. What a rip off. I wish I had the proof but THEY DON'T GIVE RECEIPTS. I will order another cake soon and demand a receipt! I don't know why this ticks me off. Maybe because it's like they are trying to hide something. Anyway, good cakes.
Right Wing Bakery. Good cakes, but the owners proudly parked their vehicle with Bush/Cheney stickers in front of the bakery; right in the heart of Montrose! You won't ever get my money again.
A Montrose tradition, these bakers are justly famous for custom cheesecakes and party cakes..
In Short
This storefront in east Montrose has been a neighborhood fixture since 1979. It's known for its custom cheesecakes and party cakes, many of which are spiked with liqueur. One deep breath of its fragrant atmosphere and you'll have trouble walking out the door without at least a few cookies for the road -- chocolate chip and peanut butter are the chewy kind. Allow 24 hours for custom cake preparation.
