What I love about this place is that
they have so many fruits and vegetables in here. I am trying to live a little healthier now and this place really helps.

I really go here for the prices. They
have some low prices in here and it really helps me on planning ahead with my expenses. Places like this should be everywhere.

The people that work here are so kind
and always smile on the customer, which is a good thing because they represent this place.

Best Burger In Houston.
Don't expect fast service ... that said... this is the best burger in town. Eating a Soldier Burger with an extra egg and bacon is the way I want to die.

The Emperor has no Flavor.
We first tried this legendary place a few weeks after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives aired the segment filmed here, and the line was far too long to wait for a burger. So we went to Christian's Tailgate where we were blown away by the tasty burgers. Today we were excited to be in the area again, because it was a Monday, and rainy and late in the lunch hour! We did get the last indoor table and placed our order for the regular cheese burger and the Southwest burger topped with avocado and pico. We were so disappointed. The buns were too big, the meat too well done and dry, the lettuce all fell off. Never really found any noticeable pico on the Southwest. Just didn't have the heart to finish it. The Tex Mex fried onions and jalapenos we shared were substantial, but the onions were anemic and the jalapeno strips scarce. I hate it when a legend doesn't measure up to its reputation. We both gave it a 5 on a scale to 10.

Good food horrible service.
I was so excited to try Lankford because I heard so many good reviews from it. I was quite confused when I entered the door because I did not know how the system worked. Once my boyfriend and I found a table it took about 5 minutes for someone to ask us for a beverage. I noticed that we were getting the least attention out of everyone in the restaurant (we are Asian). The waitresses were smiling to everyone but us. Whenever I received my burger, instead of medium, it was practically rare. We had other friends come in after us and it took them almost 20 minutes to be asked what to order. We have 3 different waitresses because the first one never came back, the second one we had to go up to and ask if we could order she also never came back, and the third one gave my second group of friends their food. Without even saying a comment, my friends also noticed they were being a little racist. Considering we were the only Asians in the whole joint, we were given the least amount of service.
I would come again just because although the burger was rare, the flavor is just right. The onion rings are delicious. At least next time I will not be expecting great service and will not come completely starving since it will take 40 minutes for a waitress to come ask if I would like some water.

Good.
I got an old-fashioned bacon cheeseburger with the Tex-Mex, fried onion and jalapeno strips. The bacon was a good choice and the toppings were heaping. But the cheese and seasoning didn't do it for me, neither did the the Tex-Mex side.
