I went to Insight Optical on the recommendation of support staff at UT Opthalmology, where a doctor had given me a prescription for bifocals. I also consulted Insight's online reviews, which were enthusiastic.

As I type this review, I am reading the screen through a pair of glasses from Insight Optical. The staffer who helped me, Rosie, devoted lots of time to guiding me through the process of finding the right frames and fitting them properly. I must have tried on over 100 frames but never felt rushed in the process. The frame selection was mind-boggling, with hundreds of frames clipped to grids lining the walls. Rosie advised me on the minimum size frame needed for progressive lenses and helped smooth the way when payment was made over the phone from overseas.

The prices at Insight are comparable to those at other bricks-and-mortar eyeglass stores in Houston. The service, selection and expertise, however, are superior.

Before going to Insight, I had visited a number of stores, both bricks-and-mortar and online but never felt comfortable enough to make a purchase. I am very satisfied with my decision to buy a pair of glasses through Insight Optical. I highly recommend Insight and Rosie.

Amazing. What a great place. Insight came recommended and we were not disappointed. Designer product & great selection combined with service level I never expected.

Children's selection is every bit as good as that for adults.

Frame prices are also not excessive as designer frames go - and it is completely worth it to find just the right thing so easily and in such a pleasant & friendly atmosphere.

We will return again and again.

Recommended by Doctor. They are expensive BUT they were recommended by Dr. Kimberly Yen (only one of the best eye doctors in the country for Pedi/children) and she said that they made the best bi-focal for children's glasses. My child is priceless and so is her eye sight. If your child has special needs when it comes to their eyes, this is the place. They do not take insurance but you can file it with your own insurance. It is in the Rice Village so it is posh BUT they sell quality and have a VERY large selection in children's glasses. Wal-Mart is great for milk and bread but not for my daughters eye sight which depends on her treatment right now for her future eye sight. It hurt to pay $250 for a pair of glasses (and I have gone through 3 pairs) but when I see my daughter proudly wear here cute little glasses since the age of 2 (now 4), I know the money was well spent.

Best Children's Optical Experience. We began a relationship with Insight back in September, and it was the best decision we could have made. Our 3.5 year old daughter required eyeglasses, and the whole experience was so emotional. Terri Fugate was such a sensitive optician that took her time fitting our daughter and ensuring her complete comfort. The replacement policy is incredible and we are thrilled to be clients.

Friendly and great selection. I took my baby to get glasses and the sales person was very friendly and helpful. They had a large selection of glasses for children. She even gave my 3 year old cookies. I would definitely recommend for children's glasses.

HORRIBLE!!!. Absolutley horrible experience. Do NOT go here if you want good service or SMART salespersonnel. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. THIEVES.
