I came to Galaxie Jewelers as clueless guy looking for an engagement ring. Kip and crew were friendly, knowledgeable, and patient in helping me choose a good ring for her within my budget and also helping me decide whether I should get the ring before I propose or to get it afterwards so my fiance could choose what she wanted.

I decided to let my fiance choose the ring, but with her not being used to having much jewelry she didn't really know what she wanted. Kip and crew again were very helpful and patient in helping her find something that is suitable for her.

Service was excellent and timely. The rings were wonderful and just right for us (I purchased my wedding band there also). I can't recommend this place enough for finding jewelry that suits you. (On a side note they also repair jewelry, even costume jewelry!).

Great Jewelry repairs. These guys always do excellent work and if it is not perfect they will work on it until it is! I have always taken my jewelry there to be repaired. It took one visit to a highly reputable jewelry store in Houston to resize a ring for me and it was extremely expensive to repair and they did a terrible job, telling me they could not resize the ring but would simply put balls in it to suffice. The balls hurt my finger and they removed them but did not offer a refund. I took it to Galaxie and it was absolutely perfect after one visit! They resized it with no problem at all. I developed arthritis recently in my ring finger and had to have a lot of rings made larger. They did a great job and the cost was very reasonable. I would never go anywhere else for repairs. I have also heard that they do great design work although I have never done this. This is a very friendly, professional place to go. I highly recommend it!

They are as good as the reviewers said!. My wife's engagement ring needed some repairs and some re-design work done because she has developed some callus. I have done a lot of research and found Galaxie Jewelers was one of the very few jewelers around town that received unanimous positive feedbacks. So we paid them a visit. They are very knowledgeable, and the price they quoted us was reasonable. We had our ring fixed and redesigned there, and the craftmanship was amazing, not to mention that they did everything in the timely fashion (especially during the hectic Christmas season)! Check them out yoursevles and you would agree that they are as good as the reviewers said.

No one else does it better. My husband surprised me with a unique engagement ring and although he did a fabulous job he was never satisfied with it. He went to another jeweler to have it made. We should have gone to Galaxie from the beginning!

After a year of being married, my husband and I went to Galaxie to have the engagement ring redone.

We kept all the same elements of the ring but Kip and his team made it better. Not only did he make the design practical but also made it so much better than I thought possible. We are so much happier with the ring that they made for us and will recommend anyone else to just go to Galaxie and Kip first because they will get it done right....the first time!

Don't take a chance with anyone else. We did and paid dearly for it, but we corrected our mistake and went to Galaxie to make it right. Kip knows what he is doing and marries your ideas with the metal to make a truly fabulous work of art....that you can wear!

Trust them absolutely. I have always been suspicious of smaller jewelers outside of major shopping areas and that was too bad because I found Galaxie later than I should have: After losing a precious ring that merely needed to be resized. I come from a generation taught to sensitively admire others jewelry, but not to ask questions. I was afraid of theft, and poor work, and staggering gold prices. I had some bad experiences with other repair people enthusiastically volunteered by friends who dressed well, but who, I later realized, had no fine jewelry. I was reluctant to ask others who obviously had jewelry because I felt it might seem as If I was prying. I really stumbled into Galaxie after having seen a really splendid piece they deigned for a friend who inherited a large antique diamond. Well, I am relieved to report that in the case of Galaxie, you can absolutely trust them. They do beautiful work and especially nice repairs. They tell you up front that they don't touch what they can't repair which is also important. They have excellent tools. Their pricing is very fair. I have used them for all sorts of repairs and restoration, even watch repair. I wish I'd found them earlier. Kip's very talented designer, but I found the other people who work there to be as caring and careful. All of them listen to your concerns if they are given an opportunity to know you. I feel at home there. Hats off to all of them!

Ask for Kip. I walked into Galaxie a couple months ago out of the blue to design an engagement ring. Kip, the owner, guided my then girlfriend and I through the process every step of the way. We always felt assured there, Kip's no non-sense approach to ring design is the only way to do it. He is very knowledgeable, patient and will not push you in a direction you do not want to go. We were blown away by the ring he built for us, and plan on going back soon for wedding bands.

The best jeweler in Houston, hands down. So this is my story. I had a custom band with diamonds made but a friend's jeweler and the ring was very poorly made. I was so angry with the jeweler I initially refused to even take it back to him. After some convincing, I decided to take it back to get it repaired, though the repair was done just as poorly. I set out on a mission to find the best jeweler in Houston to repair the piece. I went to a number of places and every single one told me it was not repairable and I would have to make a new ring. A couple places even told me it was not the real metal I had ordered.

My last shot was Galaxie. I went there and spoke extensively with Kip (ask for him if you go, he is the co-owner). He checked out my ring under the microscope and assured me it was real and what I had purchased. He also told me it was completely repairable but would take some time. At this point I told him take as long as he needed as long it was done right (note: don't rush jewelers, they don't like that and only you suffer!) After a long couple of weeks, I just picked up my ring and I swear it was looking phenomenal! Kip and is team literally turned this ring into something not only wearable but spectacular. I will never trust anyone with my jewelry again. I even just gave him another piece that he is fixing now and his repair price was far better than any other place I took it to (and I only took it elsewhere cause I was out of state). If you really care at all about your fine jewelery don't even think twice, Galaxie is the way to go. I only wish I went to them to make the ring in the first place. I won't make that mistake again. His custom pieces are outstanding as well. I will certainly highly recommend him to anyone I come across who wants to create or repair any jeweler. Spectacular job!!

Wonderful, Trustworthy Jeweler. I had bent a prong on my diamond setting and needed to fix it, but had just moved to Houston so I didn't know where to take it. i know some places won't work on items non purchased from them, so I went in to several stores for quotes. After being quoted $200 to fix it from other stores in the area, I walked into Galaxie. Kip took five minutes to fix it , shined it up so it looked like the day my husband gave it to me, and charged me nothing! He just shrugged and said he loved what he did and didn't need to charge me to fix a prong. These people make beautiful, custom pieces and he knew he didn't have to rip me off to get his profits. They are confident in their knowledge and craftsmanship, and very honest and upfront. It's so easy to get cheated when it comes to jewelry, so go to Galaxie where you can trust someone! I promise you'll be happy.

Great Custom Design Work. My wife and I worked with Dee to realize a design concept she'd had for our wedding rings. In the case of her ring, the idea was deceptively complex: it encased her grandmother's ancient platinum-and-diamond ring while corresponding to the design of my ring. Dee and Kip improved on the concept, tailored it to our hands, showed it to us on paper and then realized it. We couldn't be happier with the results. And I couldn't have been more surprised at the reasonable cost.

Best Jewelers in Houston. The jeweler has the best staff and are such a delight to work with. They strive to take care of their customers and always provide 100% satisfaction. I found them by chance when I needed to have some bracelets engraved in a day. They were so helpful and very reasonable priced. From now on, I will use Galaxie Jewelers as my jeweler. I highly recommend visiting them!
