The Scene – Like a cross between a bowling alley lounge and a seedy poker hall, this chintzy, wood paneled bar plays host to older men by day and college students by night. Great Long Island Iced Teas
by shiley
Tuesdays are Teasdays here! You MUST try their long islands....they are the BEST in Houston! The bar itself is a little "hole in the wall" that all the college students and alums know about. It is a great location to sit and socialize and enjoy a good drink with good friends!
Best cheap drinks, a smoker's paradise!

Look for me at the end of the bar. I like my drinks and they know how to make them at the Marquis. As far as bartenders, no one beats Al. If I'm ever down he picks me up, cheers to the entire staff. Go ahead and pour me another, I'm on my way.
- Pros: Me
- Cons: dirty floors, ooe
Thursday nights
by ifpo238
They replaced the chairs, the updated the jukebox, but the character of the "Marky Duh" remains the same. Cold beers and Iced Teas, aging Aggie/Longhorn frat boys, Rice nerds (the Lovett cheer is scribbled on the mens' room wall), and ladies tired of having to dress like a fashion show all come together in this little dive for a drink and a smoke. Thursday nights here are the best!
- Pros: genuinely friendly, staff
- Cons: cops
