Customers are second to employees. Today Buffalo Grille turned into a table service diner. OH BUT WAIT - You need to be an employee to get this service! Typically you stand in line, order your food, find a table, and go to the counter to get your food when it is ready. Granted about 15% of the customers ignore the posted signs and save a table prior to ordering. Okay can't regulate idiots. So I am in line outside (by pharmacy) and I watch as an employee (waits tables) comes out to greet her family of 10. She tells them to sit down and she will serve them. She brings them coffee, juice, and silverware. I get to the counter and tell the old guy what happens. He says "She doesn't have family" an employee next to him says yes she does. Then he says oh well she is an employee and if she wants to sit her family that is okay with him. Fine - I am one customer and losing my business is not important to the old guy. Does he have to lie to me? REALLY!!! Then we couldn't find a table - one clears - he comes over to bust the table and tells me (no prompt from me) that this wait staff person has been there for 20 years and if she wants to serve her family from Mexico than he isn't going to say a thing. Okay fine then TAKE YOUR SIGNS DOWN! To top if off, when I got my food, the order was wrong - planned I think!

Decent food but annoying experience.... I've not been to Buffalo Grille before but had always wanted to try it out. Saturday , 1:30PM. I walked in to a busy atmosphere and stood back from the counter to look at the menu posted up above. Despite obviously not being ready to order, a little woman barked at me sharply "Do you want something to drink?" I told her I didn't know yet and backed up a bit more. Finally, I decided on a tuna sandwich and approached the counter. "DO YOU WANT SOMETHING TO DRINK?!" I felt like I was being chastised for not having an answer the first time.

I ordered my sandwich and asked if I could substitute fruit for chips even at a higher cost. The man taking my order told me I could "but it would cost me at least $2.50 more because fruit by itsself is like $4.50." He pointed me in the direction of the vegetables I could substitute, practically dismissing my request for fruit. Reluctantly, I chose a salad instead.

Finding a seat wasn't too difficult, although I could see it might be an issue based on the limited availability and the signage warning customers not to save tables before they order. So, I found an empty table and took a seat. Suddenly alarmed, I nearly jumped out of my skin in reaction to a screeching voice over the loud speaker. It was the counter employee calling the customers' names as their orders came up. Over and over again, this annoying voice screeched indescernible names over the microphone. The only thing that I can liken the sound to is persistent drunken seagulls. (Picture it.) I was cringing at the thought of this woman calling my name in that manner. Yet, the inevitable moment came when she cried "AMY!!" over the loud speaker and a ripple of tiny waves rode up my back, over my head and down my arms.

Needless to say, I ate my sandwich and salad as quickly as possible in order to get away from this atmosphere. While the food was tasty, I would suggest taking it to go... and have someone ELSE pick it up for you!

Best Breakfast in Houston!! Period!!. This has to be one of the best breakfast I have ever had. I recently discovered this place and wondered why there were so many people in line. Well, it is obvious! I had the Huevos Rellenos w/ Ranchero Sauce, Hash Browns and Pecan Smoked Peppered Bacon. Yah! Baby!! Enough Said!

Filthy restaurant, you smell like grease, and the food tastes absolutely horrible. Unless you want quanitity but no quality, this would be the place. They serve a lot of something, but I cannot consider it food. All of their food is greased up. After going here your hair and clothes smell like grease. The pancakes are just a huge but tasteless, the hashbrowns are overcooked, and the toast is rock hard. This place has absolutely no class. As far as the clientel, again Nuvo Rich. If you had any class you would not come to a place that serves quantity, but no quality. Sorry but I wish I could give this place no stars. I think they should put a disclaimer on the door, if you want good service dont come here, if you want food - dont come here, if you want cleanliness- dont come here. This is trailer park food!!

not very happy.. actually very dissapointed... jan. 21, 2007... went to the grille for breakfast. i ordered the #3b. scramble eggs with cheddar and chop bacon, hasbrowns, and wheat toast. eggs w/cheese and bacon was average. the hashbrowns i would totally stay away from, i'm serious. run if you have to. the toast must have been laying around till someone ordered them, very soft. " overrated " very dissapointing.

What a dissapointment!. Long lines, no where to sit, have to wait on yourself, food average, service below average.

Start the day right with breakfast at this cafe or end it on a homey note with dinner.. In Short
For a bacon-and-eggs meal from a kitchen that treats breakfast with utter seriousness, this is the place to go. You'll have to wait in line to place an order, so arrive early. The restaurant is known for its enormous pancakes (one is enough), the seemingly endless list of egg dishes and pecan-smoked bacon. A lunchtime chalkboard menu changes frequently. Dinner options include chicken-fried steak, pork chops, enchiladas and fajitas.

My favorite place!!. The Buffalo Grille not only has the best food in town, but the best service and atmosphere. John and Brock always give service with a BIG smile :)

AND if you go the the Bissonett location, you will see a great picture of the HPD task force located in the heart of downtown (NOT taken in the country side of Simonton, Texas, right john?)

The portions of food you get is definately worth the price...take friends and family there on weekend mornings, great place to eat and people watch!! :)

Overrated. The news media eats here because it's close. Get out and live a little, there's a lot better

breakfasts to be had in this town. You just have to look!
