Nice atmosphere – The atmosphere looks modern and artsy. It is peaceful place without any stressful waiting period. The dumplings and edamame are awesome.

Delicious, convenient, friendly, and affordable! – We've been Cafe Chino fans for decades, starting with their West University location. The consistency in service, menu options and ambience provides a familiar and comfortable dining experience - lunch or dinner. The dumplings and General Tso's chicken are our favorites (and best in town!). Eddie does a fantastic job running the restaurant and Chef May has extraordinary talent in the kitchen. We love the family-feel and always pick Cafe Chino when we have Hunan cravings. The new location in the Greenway Plaza area is very convenient with easy access from 59 and 610. It has an open-ambience feel and a snazzy bar. When we don't find the dine in, take-out is easier than ever.
Thanks for being such a long time customer. We are so glad you like the new location. We hope to see you in here soon. Please vote for us in Best of Citysearch 2010!
BEST CHINESE FOOD IN HOUSTON!! – I live near the village and have always loved chinese food. I found cafe chino one day and my family and friends decided to order out from there. We ordered the Sweet and sour chicken, crab wontons, sesame chicken, and some pork dumplings. Everything was amazing and we loved it! We order out from there 2 times a week at least! It is closed now so we've been chinese food-less for a while! we miss you cafe chino come back!
Thank you so much for taking the time out to review us. I hope you will come back and visit us at our new location. The food is better than ever and we have a new wonderful restaurant to show off.
GREAT FOOD NICE OWNER – I eat at Cafe Chino often. They are moving so they are not open currently, which disappoints me.
They will re-open in September and I hope to be one of the first to experience their great food at the new location.
Edward, the owner, is very congenial. (sp)
Please re-open ASAP!
Thank you very much for your kind words. Please stop by our new location. Plenty of parking. Food is better than before and a beautiful new restaurant to show off.
awesome – WONDERFUL FOOD! Great service. I have been going here for a long time and the food is the best I have ever had. It is a nice atmosphere and easy to get in and out of. Keep your eyes out chances are you will see Dr. Red Duke, he's there a few times a week!
Thanks for the nice comments. Hope you can visit us at the new location if you haven't already. Dr. Red Duke is still coming in as usual.
Best Chinese Food in town – The Orange beef is excellent
Crab cake is so delicious with lots of crab meat inside
Chocolate mousse is so creamy and rich in flavor

This place has it all! – I took my dinner club Eight Friends Out to this hidden place in the village and had a great experience! Great service, great food in a lovely setting, at a great price. Some members of my club said they only eat Chinese here! I could see and taste why--Eddie is a fabulous host, and the food was very tasty. The homemade desserts were awesome to behold and even better to eat! Best of all was the wonderful aroma when I walked into the place! I wanted to chow down that very minute! I would go back in a heartbeat!
Thanks for your review. We appreciate your business. We hope that you can come and visit our new location soon. Eddie is still the fabulous host but now has his eldest son Randall to help out and make your dining experience even better than before. Plenty of parking and a wonderful new restaurant to show off. Hope to see you soon.
A masterpiece – This is one of the best restaurants in Houston, period. Eddie Chan (the chef/owner) and his entire staff work tirelessly to serve some of the best Chinese food you will ever have in your life. For a special treat try the seared Chilean sea bass. Incidentally, the background music is soothing and elegant.
