“The service on the other hand was slow and rude.”
Great Lunch Buffet!. Thai Spice in the Village offers an incredible lunch buffet so you can try several different dishes offered on the menu. I started with the Tom Yum soup, a shrimp soup flavored with lemon grass herbs, mushrooms, lime & chili-Delicious. The yellow curry with chicken was outstanding! Like another reviewer, I agree, their Pad Thai is the best I have tried! Everything tasted so fresh and if you go for lunch, go early because it seems to be very popular. They also have a great outdoor patio upstairs. Great food, atmosphere, friendly staff and convenient location.
One of the better Thai restaurants in Houston. We've eaten here several times and I have enjoyed everything we have ordered. Nobody makes better Padh Thai in my opinion. Please please ask for their peanut sauce, its to die for. I have tried several Thai restaurants, and they all have different versions of classics, and this is the place for me. I like the vibe of this restaurant, its laid back and they have cute Thai pieces here and there (but they could make it more ethnic looking). The waitstaff is always friendly and every time we have gone its been busy.
gross. They false advertised their special and said it was for another location. Then the food was not good at all. Should have known because it was lunch time and there was only about 10 ppl in the whole resturant
Not the most authentic thai. As an asian person, this is not the most highly recommended Thai restaurant in Houston. I've been their twice, only because of convenience. But, after the last meal I had there, I don't plan to go back. I'm still searching for a good Thai restaurant here.
Consistently Great Thai Fare. "As1an" commented in his/her review that the un-fried rolls didn't seem fresh. And the decor isn't to this person's liking either. What this person didn't offer is specificity, so I can hardly take the review seriously. What a lame characterization of the truly fresh assortment (shrimp, chicken, veggie) of spring rolls offered. They're served with peanut and fish sauce and make a great starter. Do not miss these rolls! My boyfriend loves the drunken chicken, which is served with onions and bell peppers swimming in a light brown sauce. I love the pad thai dishes with beef and veggies and the spicy shrimp soup. The wait staff are gracious and attentive. We either dine in or take out 3 times per month. Thai Spice is a stellar restaurant for those with a genuine appreciation for fresh, authentic Thai food.
Best Thai food in town. Best thai buffet with a good variety of flavorful dishes. Definetly the place to take your friends for a good time, good food, and good service.

Thai Spice has one of the best Thai curries in the business, but I would think twice about their spring rolls (the one that isn't fried). It didn't seemed fresh to me compared to the ones I had at different
Thai restaurants. The place also needs some decorating advice from Thai Sticks if they want to be in the competitive edge.
Count on this dainty Rice establishment for some creative and spicy Thai cuisine..
In Short
The daily buffet is a big draw, but ordering straight from the menu is the freshest way to go. Soft summer rolls are a delicate and light starter. Try the Crystal Salad with crystal noodles, ground chicken, shrimp, purple onion and tangy fish sauce. There are several seafood entrees including jumping squid, basil mussels and crispy snapper. Royal-style curries and special rice and noodle dishes are also recommended.
Great Thai Food. My favorite Thai place in town. They have a great selection of items ranging from spicey to mild, their prices are also great. Try the dinner special, it's great.
Weekly Ritual. My family and I have been going to Thai Spice since it opened. The amazing food and the friendly service have kept us coming back (weekly)!!! Their chicken and peanut sauce beats all the other Thai restaurants I've been to, and the ginger beef, garlic shrimp, pineapple-fried rice and nom sod are all uniquely flavored and well worth trying. You really can't go wrong here because everything is great. Try the lunch buffet for lots of variety or dinner special (from 5-7pm every day) for an extremely good deal.
