“the location is great: in the heart of the shopping district and just minute away from the bars/clubs in the area.”
“we went with 7 friends to have dessert and coffee, time 11:30 pm, they seat us, and we star order tres leches and coffee they brought the coffe and ask if we were going to order food, we told the waiter no, 5m later manager came to the table and said that”
“We decided to visit this restaurant -- one of our regular weekend destinations -- for the vegetable terrine and chorizo, knowing to expect their infamously slow service, but generally it isn't crowded and we like to read and talk at the bar.”
“The music was awesome and the food was great.”
“The food is to die for- tons of all types of meats, plus great vegetarian selections, and the drinks will knock your socks off.”
“The atmosphere is great--the place is always packed with a diverse crowd, a place to be seen.”
“My wife and I liked everything that we tried and cannot wait to go back.”
“The service was great, even with our loud party, everyone loved their food and the pitchers of sangria kept flowing.”
“We assumed it would be very pricey, given the area, but the food was very reasonable and delicious!”

Mi Luna has a great atmosphere with wonderful food. I have booked numerous corporate events at Mi Luna. It's a great location for large parties and special events.
Sucks!. The bread was at least day old (feeling it you can tell it had been sitting out a while) and the food came out WAY too quick - evidence that Chef Mike works there (the microwave). There was hardly anyone in the place and yes the music was way to loud. Also, the waiter tried to give us someone else's dish, scallops, which smelled fish; that means it was either not fresh, or it was prepared earlier and microwaved. All seafood that has been microwaved smells fishy; that's why you never doggy bag seafood from a restaurant to eat later. Also, the Pollo Croquettes were burnt on the outside and the chicken inside was dry and bland - obvious that they're old and reheated.
Mi Luna. I went their for the first time on a Saturday night. I got their around 11pm. The place is so nice and upscale. People are nice. Drink service was fast and the live band was outstanding. They played good hip latin music. I couldn't stop dancing. Not sure about their food because I didn't eat their. I highly recommended to anybody.
Tapas and Entertainment. We heve been going here often for over 7 years. The food is always very good from seafood to lamb and never takes too long. Nice selection of wines and their mojitos are excellent. Live entertainment is a plus and is usually pretty good. They even have valet parking which is a must in that area. Go try Spanish tapas!
Just OK.
I have been to this place 4 times and every time the food was just ok and the service was ok a little slow.
One thing I will never order was the Monkfish. Monkfish is one of my favorite fish to eat and prepare. You can say I know monkfish when I see it/eat it. I had Monkfish twice here and twice I did not get monkfish. The first time I order it with a yellow coconut sauce and they gave me a different kind of fish instead of monkfish. Most likely they gave me Tilapia and just called it monkfish.
The second time I ordered monkfish this time with a mixture of calamari, smelt, and monkfish. Again I would say they used tilapia or some other white meat fish but not monkfish. I don’t mind they sub one thing with another if they just tell me. They could say hey we are out of monkfish but you still can get that dish with tilapia or a diffrent fish. (at a reduced price). Over all the food here is just ok, the best thing they have here is not food but Sangria.
WAY TOO LOUD-HORRIBLE.
This place was such a disappointment. The music was so loud I had a sore throat from trying to scream!
And I had to pay $10 to park! Rip off! Food was just okay--service was not good--the waiter did not even know what a glass of Rose was.
I would never return. This is Rice Village? Never again.
maybe was a little loud but most clubs are
Great Music!.
Love to dance and eat? Mi Luna is for you!
They have great live band that plays Latin music. I love to have date night with my husband there. We have several favorites with the tapas like the goat cheese and bread, also try the olive plate. Service can be pretty hit or miss- but overall not bad.
They instituted there own border tariffs.. The prices for the drinks on my unexpectedly large bill was actually entirely dependant on where in the restraunt I was physically standing when I ordered them. They really need to put down tape on the floor or something and mark those areas properly. If the bar tender/chalk board/server tells you how much a drink costs, litterally walk him or her down over to your table and ask him again. The price will change. There are unmarked zones you have to be physically standing when you order to benefit from happy hour pricing.
LOVE THEIR FOOD!. The plates are delicious and perfect for snacking on while having a drink. I always order the muscles and patatas verdes! HEAVENLY!
Looks can be deceiving . . ..
I had high expectations when I first visited Mi Luna. The menus is quite exciting, with items that blend Mediterranean, Spanish, and North African cuisines. The dining room itself is pleasant with a certain Spanish flair.
Sometimes (Fri, Sat), there is live music which can be nice if you are spending your time at the bar, but can be miserable if you are trying to enjoy dinner. When the band starts playing the acoustics provide a loud, boisterous atmosphere.
Given all these pro's I am still disappointed every time I eat there. The food is generally bland, even the exotic dishes lack proper seasoning. On top of that the service is consistently poor. Very poor. There is little coordination between the front and back of house. The hostesses do not properly manage the dining room, frequently telling customers there is a wait when empty tables are in clear sight. The wait staff seems more interested in entertaining one another rather than the patrons. They are aloof and slow. Couple that with overpriced drinks and you have a recipe for mediocre evening.
Cavet emptor.
