Set just a few stores down from Urban Outfitters and Gap, it would be easy to assume this boutique focused on the college crowd. Until you go inside, that is. The right side of the store is devoted to the workingman, with Jhane Barnes sport jackets, Tommy Bahama khakis and Donald J. Pliner lace-up shoes. The left, always the more creative side, focuses on the woman at play with sexy French and Italian labels.

This store offers unique brands of tops, pants, and jeans, and features myriad local (Houston, Austin) jewelry designers. You pay a premium for their merchandise, and for some items, it's worth the splurge. Keep an eye out for their sales. You can get some great bargains. I recently bought a pair of Linda Segal pants on sale for $32 (originally $128). The staff (Alan, Karen) are very helpful and not over-bearing.

We have been customers for over a decade, and this is our "go to" place for the fashionable part of our wardrobes. Thanks to J. Hampton, we look good and feel good when we go out. The staff are very helpful -they really care about what looks good on us, and make great suggestions about clothing that we might not have initially thought to try. It's like having a personal shopper!
Pros: Unique merchandise, Caring and thoughtful service
Cons: Parking can be problematic
