Recommended for informal and destination brides. This store is small, but I found more here than huge stores like David's. If you dislike the ballroom gown look and want something less poofy, try Montage. Loretta was very helpful and let me try on anything, took photos, etc. They are also willing to alter your dress any way you like. They carry some designers that are hard to find elsewhere in Houston, like Mikaella, but also carry popular designers like Watters. Their prices were very reasonable, and if I don't end up buying a wedding gown here, I will at least try to buy from them for the rehearsal dinner. They have a great selection of bridesmaid dresses priced very reasonably, and carry a lot of the classy Jim Hjelm line. You have to call to set up an appt, and will ultimately get an answering machine, but I have always been called back within 2 hours. Highly recommended.

Cute little bridal salon. I made an appointment to visit Montage on a Saturday afternoon. It is basically a house in the Rice University area, and the parking was not the best. Their selection is not as big as other bridal salons, and I couldn't find anything I really liked there, but the lady was very helpful and attentive. They had several decent gowns on discount. Worth taking a look if you are shopping for a wedding dress.
