Best place to buy coffee in Houston. I learned about House of Coffee Beans when it was still located properly "in" Rice Village. They have since moved to Bissonet just above the Village, but their friendly staff and attention to detail remains the same.

They have a vast selection of beans from around the world, which they will happily grind for you to fit any machine. They also sell delicious teas in bags or loose, as well as all the pots, mugs, filters, tampers, spoons, etc etc you might ever need to make yourself coffee or tea.

This is a small, one-of-a-kind business where the owners know my (and my dog's) name. They politely explained what coffee would best suit me (robust flavor but low acid because I drink so much!) and helped me pick a favorite. It is that kind of personalized service that keeps me driving past Starbucks straight to House of Coffee Beans.
