Ok, I went to this place because I heard they really know how to set you up with a good pair of running shoes. Well I tried on a few pairs and finally decided on a pair the guy said were great, and I was happy. So I go for a jog and I get a huge blister on my foot. So I call fleet feet and they guy says, "oh you don't need to break them in, they shouldn't give you blisters, bring them in and you can return them". So I go back to the store and the absolutely rudest guy tells me I can't return them!!! I couldn't believe it! Also he was being very rude, he said "you can get a store credit, or maybe go to another affiliated store, but there going to have the same thing we do!" So I was getting upset and I was thinking, what should I do? and he says "Ok? So do you want to take them home and think about it for awhile?!" Can you believe this Weasel?! Well if you're employee hadn't sold me a really expensive pair of shoes that were not for me!! Apparently these guys really DON'T know what they're talking about!! And to TOP IT OFF THEY ARE RUDE!!!
I will definitely never go back there again!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to get another pair of ugly shoes, and since he didn't want to give me my exchange for the shoes, I had to spend 34 dollars on sox!!! Or I could get a store credit for it!!!??? NEVER AGAIN!!!
- Pros: They have lots of shoes, but don't expect to be able to return anything!
- Cons: Rude salesperson, don't really know anything about shoes.
When I think about where to go to find a good pair of running shoes, Fleet Feet is my first choice.

I have been in the Houston running community for over 10 years, and I always come away with a positive experience from my visits to Fleet Feet in the Village. The employees have experience and expertise in fitting runners for shoes for different purposes--over the years I've been involved with road running, multisport, and now trail running, for example--and the emphasis is on getting an appropriate shoe for for your needs. The employees ask very specific questions about what you're looking for and how you will be using the shoes. The store atmosphere is welcoming--comfortable and down-to-earth. The emphasis is definitely on sports rather than fashion. Thanks, Fleet Feet!

I stopped by to look for some insoles for some shoes I had purchased. I experienced excellent service the entire time I was there. Service was so good I convinced my wife to purchases some shoes from them as well. They really know their stuff and don't try to get you to buy anything you don't need.
They have an unreal selection of running shoes. Shoes like footlocker are dominated now by all white or fashionable non athletic shoes(Puma, Chuck Taylors). Here they have 100's of types of running shoes.
- Pros: Knowledgeable staff, no high pressure sales
- Cons: none
