Worst Customer Service. This is also the consensus of a lot of my professional friends.

La Madeliene has the worst customer service and they don't take resposibility for it.

I know at least 18 people that have been turned off by their poor communicatoin skills, poor customer service and their apathetic behavior.

When you reach out to them only to find out they will promise to 'Make Things Right' and never call.

They blocked people who just want to be heard that they are disgusted by the disregard for what is professional.

If you know anyone at La Madeliene who cares, maybe they will read this.

Horrible Employees. I went in for a quick grab and go and was treated like garbage by the girl working the register. As soon as she took my order she rolled her eyes and went back to her cell phone. I understand this is a minimum wage job, but that doesn't mean you need to treat customers like crap.

The food is so-so and it always looks better than it tastes. I will not go back for the rude employee issues. Half did not speak a lick of English and if they did they were pretending not to.

The coffee is actually very good for sitting around all day, the place is also fairly quick with service, but the ungrateful kids who they hire need to go work elsewhere.

French cuisine, specialty coffees, wines and pastries are available at this chain eatery.. In Short
Hardwood floors, tables and chairs scattered in front of a fireplace; the decor is reminiscent of a French countryside cottage. Orders are placed at the front counter and brought to the table. Full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are available; however, patrons are invited to come just for a glass of wine or cup of coffee. No meal would be complete without trying the strawberries Romanoff--fresh strawberries topped with brandy cream sauce.

SUPERB Customer Relations by Manager. My parents, my husband and 10 month old visited this location and received quite a disappointing experience. I was so disappointed by the poor customer service I called up the chain's comment line and gave my feedback.

My call was returned a few days later by manager Jason Robicheaux. I was ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED by his empathy and his drive to bring us back as customers. I am going back.

Thanks Jason for providing EXEMPLARY customer service.

Fabulous. I am a very picky eater and La Madeline is fantatstic. The service is super, never compaining when I request seperate plates and things on the side. AND the Tomato Basil soup is absolutely sinful!

Rude. The foods okay if you ever get it. We waited 40 minutes for our breakfast. When we inquired, we were told "Wait a minute" while a woman ran around the restaurant looking for our food. Evidently if it was on someone else's table she was going to pick it up and put it on ours! When that didn't work-out a guy showed up with an order pad and asked us what we ordered. No apology, no assurance our food would be right out, just "What did you order?" We left without a refund since the rude fellow couldn't work the cash register.

Good but not cheap. The food is good, and the ambient is very nice. The prices are comparable with those in the area, that is, not exactly cheap.

Also, it may be a bit hard to find parking sometimes.

overpriced fast food. La Madeleine is overpriced fast food in the disguise of a French bistro. Much of the food is flavorless and hardly French. I only recommend two items: (1) their croissants, which are not very good, but better than most in Houston; and (2) their french roast coffee, which is surprisingly good. Otherwise, I have had dinner there at least 20 times, and it was uniformly awful.

Tomato Basil Soup is great. Went there for a brunch with my boyfriend's mom by recommendation from a friend. Decent prices, nice atmosphere and the food was great! Had the scalloped potatos and a cup of the tomato soup and it was delish! Great variety for those of us who aren't big egg fans, and I look forward to going back!

COMPETITION WATCH OUT!!!. The new menu items prove that le Madeleine is ready for more competition. The new sandwiches are a must to try. The portebello mushroom & the ham w/ mango chutney are my favorites. The staff and managers are always willing to accomodate your diet and make suggestions. The roasted chicken & mushroom soup are great for first timers. Don't forget the cakes and pastries before you drink your last cup of coffee. A treat for Sunday breakfast!!!
