Thelma BBQ has the worst customer service ever!!! I had know idea what I was getting myself into. First of all the wait is super long. I waited in line for 30 minutes only to be kicked out once it was my time to order. Yes, kicked out!! Walked up to ask the person at the window(the owner) and ask what was the best thing on the menu because this was my first time coming. She told me I should have been looking at the menu instead of talking on the phone. Then I stated I did look at the menu and didnt know what to order. I stated that she didnt have to be so rude and she cursed at me and then stated that I could spend my money somewhere else and showed me the door. As if I didnt know where the door was, the place is a match box. Try to support black owned businesses and look how you are treated. Themla simple doesnt care about customer service. Apparently neither do her customers. Will never step foot in there AGAIN!

i had wanted to order a 3 meat plate with 2 types of beef and ribs, was told i couldnt.i feel if im paying for it then whats the problem...anyway..i ordered the sliced beef, ribs and sausage and it was the WORST bbq i have ever had in my life..i was still tasteing it the next day..the beef and the ribs was tough as shoe leather and the sausage while it had a good flavor was cheap and def not all beef...if i could rate this place a neg star if i could..dont see how anybody thinks that this greasy mess/slop is good bbq..somebody please send the health dept over there cause im sure baised on what i seen there are most def some health code violations...AND PLEASE SOMEBODY TEACH THEM HOW TO BBQ.. i guess to the crackheads in the hood thats mighty good eats but not to me and i grew up in the hood....

Thelma's link sandwich is about as good as her menu gets. Her mom makes her desserts, which the pecan pie is a delictible treat. Either way, if you can finish a whole sandwich, you will have to take the pie home with you to eat later. The setting is a rather modest small living/dining room of an old house with all walls removed. If you can bring yourself to expect reasonable food at a really cheap price, this is your place. Don't expect anything fancy. Enjoy the sandwich for $4.50.
