The Scene
Despite its small size, high ceilings, simple decor (including cheerful black-and-white photos of patrons) and romantic lighting make the main dining room seem cozy. Tables are comfortably spaced and a substantial bar off to one side adds to the seating. Opt for a table on the periphery of the restaurant along the windows. The Preston side offers a view of the water sculpture while the Main Street side affords for some train spotting.
The Food
Restaurateur Youssef Nafaa (Mi Luna) infuses the Italian menu with distinct Mediterranean flavors. The eclectic menu features varied appetizers including a grilled calamari dish and a savory mushroom and goat cheese strudel. Thin crust pizzas tempt with a variety of toppings while hearty pasta dishes, including healthy whole wheat pasta with cheese-stuffed meatballs, provide for lunchtime leftovers. Fish, chicken and steak dishes round out the offerings. Expect a varied wine list.

I keep trying to give this place another chance, but each and every time their RUDE servers ruin the dining experience for me. And when I ordered a to go meal, they put the COLD salad with the HOT sandwich and didn't even make the salad I ordered. When I explained this to them, they simply didn't care. I even made a complaint on their website and never received any acknowledgment. I will no longer waste my money for a restaurant that obviously doesn't care if I enjoy my dining experience with them.

Mia Bella is a favorite lunch spot of mine for the food and the experience. Whether you're looking for a spot that you can get in and out of in an hour or to sit and discuss business at the table, Mia Bella can deliver. The food is great and the pasta dishes you can design yourself by selecting sauces, pasta, and other goodies are fun and give you total control of your lunch. Of course there are also the daily specials and straight menu items to choose from. For a convenient, sit-down, tablecloth restaurant downtown, the prices are good and the value is high. Highly recommended.

Mia Bella is a cute little restaurant located downtown -- great for before theatre or sporting events. I've tried many of the menu items and all are delicious. My favorite is the Quattro Formaggio (4 Cheese Pizz), which includes blue cheese...yummy!
