What People Are Saying About Fu-Kim Grand Palace -- CLOSED

In Short – As subtle as a Chinese New Year celebration, the decor at the Fu Kim Grand Palace runs to lurid red carpets, flashy crystal chandeliers, giant fountains, palatial drapery and enormous artworks made of abalone and mother-of-pearl. Slices of barbecued pork tastily fortify the traditional spring rolls, and stir-fried chicken with hot chili and lemongrass is a winner. Spicy bean curd with ground pork in chili sauce gives diced tofu both body and zip.

This is a huge restaurant. They usually have wedding and big events in here. Everytime i have gone, i have felt satisfied. The prices are fair and they also have one of the best general taos chicken in town. The service is very good and friendly. Lost of asians eat here, which tells you that this place is very authentic. the art outside the restorant is very impresive. I will defenetely come back.
- Pros: big, authentic, good service
try the dinner specials

eat dinner here, and request the specials. the bo luc lac, ca kho to, and goi are spectacular. especially the goi! a waiter mentioned that they're so famous for this dish, that people from San Antonio, Austin, and Beaumont will drive in to eat this for dinner. the waiters and service are a cut above any other Vietnamese restaurant we frequent. at lunch, it's crazy and they get slower in serving, but here, the staff actually care about attending to you.
- Pros: dinner specialities, classy service
- Cons: , weekend parking
A class of its own

This is the best place to find "goi" in Houston. Here, the jellyfish and seafood salad is why my family has been going since I was a kid. The other favorite dish is their "cua rang muoi." Other restaurants do not even come close to matching the flavor of Fu Kim's black pepper crabs.
Service here easily outclasses all other Vietnamese restaurants. When the place is packed, they tend to be slow yet always nice and so professional.
- Pros: Goi, Cua Rang Muoi, Service
