One of my worst experiences at a Sushi Bar Ever. My mount fugi rolls was fine but nothing special. Everyone else in my party got their food and 15 minutes later I got my Chicken Katsu appetizer that I order. Then the bill came and that was the big problem. Took forever to get the bill. They charged me the entree portion for the appetizer chicken katsu that I ordered. The waitress did say she would have the manager correct it. The manager came over and then proceeded to argue with me about it. The compromise that the manager came up with is that she would charge me $10 instead of $15. The appetizer was only $5 according to the menu. We did pay the bill but I will never go back there again. Save your money and go somewhere else not here. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

This mod sushi spot in the Theater District is centrally located to downtown's attractions.. In Short
Like its fading decor, this once-great sushi and East-West fusion restaurant has lost some of its luster. The menu is still as inventive as it was when it opened with the popular Ninja turtle with baked mussel, Enron Don rice box, and spider soft-shell crab hand rolls, along with an extensive raw sushi selection. However, the quality of the food and service range from excellent to fair, depending on the day you dine.

Sushi addict loses fix. I love sushi so much that I eat it every chance I get. I had never eaten at the Sake Lounge before and I do not plan on it again. I went before a concert and was surprised at the small pieces, the lack of order sheet, and the prices. My friend and I decided to have a small meal and told the waiter so. We each ordered what we wanted: he got an item off the appetizer list and I got one order of rolls. They were brought out separately, so we had to eat a different times, and the waiter was not attentive enough to catch to ammend this. I believe that the prices are too steep for the rolls and the atmosphere is not relaxed.

Sometime Good, Sometimes Not So Good. I've had pretty good sushi here, and I've had really bad sushi here. It may all depend on what day you go. One friend observed that it tasted like they had made his sushi the day before. So I'd say it's better to go on the day that they make the sushi than to go the day after the sushi was made.

Service is generally excellent, and non-sushi food is generally very good.

An Amazing Experience. Me and my husband are sushi-lover. We had best sushi in town in Sake Lounge last night. Not only the food, but also the exellent services were much impressive. We went there before the show. And the restraunt were pack. But still in good order. We were seated promply, and the waitress , though very busy, still, so nice polite. She told us they were trained to face this busy all the time especially before the show and after the show. The sushi is such a wonderful presentation!!! I have to say it is an amazing experience.

Surprise. Wow, I was real surprised with the level of service and the quality of food during my latest visit. I used to think this was a pretty good place. The service was slow and some of the sushi didn't seem fresh. I thought we just hit them on a bad night because, the Coke served was flat, we sat at the Sushi bar and the chef was too busy or somewhat unfriendly. Now I see a number of poor ratings, that's too bad, they're so convenient for before theatre drinks and eats. I'll think twice before returning anytime soon.

I talked to the manager, he said they would try to correct their issues.

great restaurant. the first thing i noticed asbout this restaurant is the chique and modern atmosphere and the fact that they have a full bar. i especially luved the variety of the sushi combos they provided. the new manager kenneth even came to check up on us! our waitress tended to all of our needs & the food was delecious. i will definitely go bak there again!

horrible fish/ small pieces. this place serves small pieces that arent even good. the place was totally empty and boring on a weekend. i dont see why they call it a "lounge" because i didnt see any lounging going on. the service was horrible and slow as well.

Saki at Sake. I have worked across the street from Sake for almost 2 years now and finaly went to eat there for lunch today. UNREAL....Portions were really large, service was good and the prices and selection were awesome. 2 of us spent $42 but we had a ton to eat. I will be heading there again soon for my Tako fix and would recommend this spot to any sushi fan in the downtown area.

small meal, no service. My wife and I have very little time to cook dinner during the holidays. Since we live so close to downtown we decided to go to the Sake Lounge. It was late, so we didn't want to load down on a lot of food. When I order only the Nabayake Udon soup, the waiter's expression change from "happy to see you" to annoyed. I didn't see the waiter during the whole meal, not even when it was time to pay the tab. I have to go to the front counter, to ask for my bill. I can understand poor service when a restuarant is busy, but to ignor a patron when his bill is small is unacceptable.
