One of the closest places you'd get to New York-style pies. Its cheap, has quick delivery, and is open late-night on weekends.
Great, New York style pizza with no frills. Everything is fresh, the crust is just right and the variety of toppings will cover anyone.
Best in Houston. I've had pizza all of the Houston area and have found the best here. Whenever I have friends come into town I take them straight to Franks. Really my only complaint is the parking. But what do you expect when the place is downtown.
Heavenly pie!. My husband and I are downtown residents and this is our go-to place for pizza. It is always delicious and the delivery is super reliable. We are both picky when it comes to pizza and tend to disagree on which places have a better slice, but we are unanimous in our love for Frank's. It is a true downtown treasure!
I could eat there every day..... I love Frank's. Fortunately, it's a long walk, or I'd eat there every day and weigh 800 pounds. Ideally I'd like a thinner NY style pizza, but Frank's is about just right to be filling after a lots of walking downtown, on just one slice and a Lone Star longneck...what more could I want! No waiting usually, just grab a slice and go. Sit down with a beer...there's an upstairs area if the bottom is full, or just fold a slice and be on your way down the sidewalk! That's what eatin' pizza is all about for me! :)
best drunk munchies destination!. every time i go out for a night out with the girls to downtown houston we HAVE to make a stop at Frank's pizza before we go home or to an after party! The service is amazing, the atmosphere is great, the people are friendly, and most of all, THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS AND SATISFING! I live for friday nights at Frank's at around 2 am! Best pizza in Houston! Try the amazing pizza rolls as well! the pizza is soft and hot. Eat Frank's, be happy!
very nice guys, very blah pizza. We tried a large pizza with sausage, mushrooms and peppers. Although the service was very nice and friendly, we unfortunately have to say that the pizza really left something to be desired. It really didn't taste any better than a pizza at one of the national chains, which is too bad because Franks is in such a great downtown location and again, the guys were very nice. Now, in all fairness, my pizza standards are high -- I'm an Italian-American from Boston. NY style pizza should be extremely thin and the crust nice and crunchy on the outside, and this really wasn't. It wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, but it wasn't very good either.
Best Pizza in Houston Period. As an Italian American from the East Coast living in Houston, I have to say Frank's is by far the best Pizza by the Slice in Town Period. The Pizza is a Mid-Atlantic thin crust style which is large in surface area and foldable. While the Pizza is not from the old country, it is amongst the best in this part of the new country. The Pizza sauce is a peppery sweet sauce, the cheese is a less filling but works well with the sauce, the forms of proschiuto and vegetables are fresh and natural unlike their frozen canned equivolents found at Dominoes or any other disgraceful chain pizzeria. The place also serves subs, sides, beer, soda, and dessert and is great to go to open until 3 AM on the weekends.
Great Pizza. Great pizza, felt the pizzeria vibe, great lounge, free wifi, quick service. definitely recommend!
My favorite pizza in Houston!!!. I love this place! Friendly staff and great pizza. It's nothing fancy, but just the way I like it: not too much sauce, the crust is not too thin or too thick - it's just right, and the top of the pizza gets just crispy enough, but not burned. Reminds me of a pizza joint that you'd find in NY or Philly - you can order by the slice. Some people are under the impression that Frank's is only for late night, drunk food - and while it is open late on the weekends, we go there anytime for pizza. I definitely recommend this place - anyone I've taken here loves it!
