My secret.... This place is NEVER too crowded, NEVER too loud and NEVER off my mind for a good eat! I love the location and the outside seating with the fountains and the vines in the back... it's historic I think. Anywho, the beer is cheap and BOY what a variety. I love the food, especially the burgers, and it's inspiring enough to write a poem everytime you visit. Good waitstaff too! Everyone I take falls in love with it but can never find it when they try to go without me! It's my little secret.

great burgers and beer. We happened upon this restaurant by chance, but have been coming back regularly. The burgers and sandwiches are excellent (our favorites include the Pete's philly cheesesteak that includes jalapenos and blue cheese, as well as the Jalapeno burger), and are reasonably priced. Decent beer selection as well. The atmosphere is laid back and cozy. Just one block from metro stop, bars and clubs on Main Street.

great burgers........ the best burger downtown.........without a doubt........i've eaten the burgers at msb&g many times and they have been consisitently good........worth dealing with the parking fiasco downtown..........

outdoor patio in the back is excellent for cocktails..........good beer selection...........one of the few remaining joints that still sell lone star beer on tap.........

the crowd is hit or miss for the after-work happy hour........sometimes it's lively, sometimes it mellow......depending on your mood, you could find it to suit your needs.........

Great for Lunch & After Work. This is the downtown bar & grill for traditionalists who like good food, reasonably priced drinks, a friendly bartender, and don't need ultra-modern decor to feel trendy.

Reccomend. Everything I expected. The food was great. I took the family before a 6:05 Astros game and it was fine for kids, but this place is definetly a bar and would not be kid friendly after hours. Within walking distance of Minute Maid Park. They forgot the cheese on my daughters burger but corrected the mistake quickly and cheerfully. Definetly reccomend

Burgers & Martinis. I have found no better Saturday lunch than a martini (or two) and blue cheese burger at Market Square Bar & Grill. The MSB&G has been known for years for its martinis, winning more than one readers poll somewhere or another, but the food is also quite consistently good. Another favorite, if you like blue cheese, is their Philly cheese steak made with, you got it, blue!
