Great Effort and Friendly Staff. As with any hotel that's been in business a few years, it is naturally expected to show some signs of wear. This did not really bother me. However, the in-room wet bar sink did not work, and had a plywood panel bolted over one of the bottom cabinets. Not a problem; there were two, overhead cabinets, and the bathroom sink worked fine for getting water. I really loved the staff here; they are very friendly, eager to do anything to make your stay nicer, and helpful in answering questions. I also loved the room lamps and bedspread. The rooms could use more light; windows are a little small. But I drew the drapes open, and the problem was solved. One of the best advantages to staying at this hotel is its excellent location! You are in walking distance of Borders, Carrabas, Zios Italian Restaurant, Taco Cabana, La Madeleine, World Market, BerryHill Baja Grill, Best Buy, Pei Wei and Potbelly's Deli Sandwhich shop. NASA is just one or two miles away as well. There's also a huge HEB grocery store just down the street. Baybrook Mall is just across the freeway from this hotel. You could not be in a better, more convenient location.
