Pitas, like a deep pocket or the ten armed Hindu Diety, Kali, are great at holding things. At Cafe Pita, they put this talent to good use, housing some of the best spiced lamb in all of Houston. How do we know it's good? Well people are willing to go OTB (outside the Beltway) for it. Mercifully though, they won't have to anymore, as the eatery is expanding from its obscure original deep west Westheimer location to a second restaurant on Richmond near the Galleria's lunching hordes. Be sure to stop in and get a taste of the house-made puffy pita and cevapi sausage that's gained this spot a cult-like following that includes chef Guy Fieri, who featured Pita on his Food Network hit Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
